Abstract: An apparatus and method to electronically compile an integrated summary document across several different educational sources is provided. The integrated summary document can contain links back to the original sources. Within the integrated summary document, searches, social learning elements and other content can also be integrated and linked to external content.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to provide a more interactive book learning experience. The invention provides an interactive quiz component to book figures. Figures within an electronic document can be enlarged by a user input such as a touch gesture. Selected information from the enlarged figure can be hidden and used as an interactive quiz. Feedback and options for further review or interactions are provided based on user input.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium includes executable instructions to display electronic content, associate a subset of the electronic content with a comment from a user and submit the subset of the electronic content and the comment to a forum accessible by a plurality of users.

Abstract: The enhanced feature of this invention is the direction of a pen input on an electronic device to a separate canvas where it can be separately manipulated and processed for use. Temporal and spatial analysis can ensure that each canvas contain pen strokes that spatially belong together such as an individual word composed of multiple strokes for easy manipulation of the word on the screen. Another related enhanced feature of the invention for erasing portions of the inputted writing is the process of generating a new curve with different points than the original curve.

An object transition module executed by the processor includes executable instructions to map a gesture applied to the object to a set of object movement parameters and then move the object from the first touch screen to the second touch screen in accordance with the object movement parameters.

Abstract: In the instant invention an improved method and device is described for utilizing the frame buffer of and electronic device with a display. The frame buffer is enlarged well beyond the dimensions of the display and the user is unable to change which region of the frame buffer is visible on the display. An application of the electronic device is allocated a region for its exclusive use that is within the portion of the frame buffer which is not visible to the user, and draws into it. The application may also take full advantage of accelerated drawing operations offered by the GPU. Compositing may be done by the application or by a window manager between regions of the enlarged frame buffer, visible on-screen, the portion off-screen, or any combination.

An object transition module is executed by the processor. The object transition module includes executable instructions to detect a rotational input applied to the pad. A second section marker is adjacent to the boundary page marker.

Abstract: A electronic device includes a first housing body with a first hinged end, a first free end, and a first fastening surface between the first hinged end and the first free end. A second housing body has a second hinged end, a second free end, and a second fastening surface between the second hinged end and the second free end. A flexible member is fixed to the first fastening surface and passes though the first hinged end and through the second hinged end for connection to a sliding cartridge that is affixed to the second fastening surface. The sliding cartridge provides substantially constant resistance during 360° rotation between the first housing body and the second housing body.
