Patents Assigned to Kobishi Electric Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5150097
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motor driven type bell striking device to be employed in electric bells. The device incorporates a cam coupled with the rotating drive shaft of an electric motor, the cam translating the rotary motion of the motor to an oscillating action which serves to impel a piston, the piston then impelling a striking member which is coupled with the base or frame of the bell by a spring. In one preferred embodiment, the previously mentioned spring is a coil spring which wraps around the piston. In a second preferred embodiment, a leaf spring is employed. In both embodiments, the energy of the moving piston is translated into inertia in the striking member. Because the striking member is relatively free floating in the direction in which it moves, a sharp, clear ring sound is made possible with each impact of the striking member.

  • Patent number: 4952907
Abstract: In a motor driven bell, a pair of cam members are operatively connected to a drive shaft of a motor. One of the cam members acts directly on a leaf spring for moving a hammer attached to the leaf spring generally in parallel relation to the axis of rotation of the cam member to thereby allow the hammer to strike against an associated gong. The other cam member is disposed generally parallel to the cam member so that the leaf spring interposes therebetween. Therefore, the cam members define an amplitude of the leaf spring, whereby the hammer is able to strike against the gong without mis-striking.

  • Patent number: 4896134
Abstract: An armored self-contained outdoor/indoor siren assembly which eliminates the need for an additional protective box and an additional tamper switch which are generally used in the prior art installations. The armored siren assembly of the invention consists of a rigid and strong cover member which forms a housing, and a number of horns mounted within the housing in coaxial nested relationshp with one another which not only form a sound chamber for the siren, but also form a protective means for the sound generating unit of the siren to prevent access to the sound generating unit by unauthorized persons. The cover of the assembly, as well as the various horns included in the housing, and the mounting brackets for the horns, may all be formed, for example, of rustproof diecast aluminum.

  • Patent number: 4742328
Abstract: An alarm device capable of producing an audible as well as a visual alarm is disclosed. The alarm device comprises a gong, a DC motor of a commutator type and a hammer operatively connected to an output shaft of the motor for striking the gong. The alarm device further comprises a high-voltage generating circuit connected to the motor, a flash tube and an exciter circuit for the tube. When a DC power is supplied to the motor to strike the gong by the hammer, the high-voltage circuit generates a high voltage in accordance with a square-wave current which flows through the motor. The exciter circuit is energized by the high voltage and excites the flash tube to thereby produce flashes of light.

  • Patent number: 4700178
Abstract: An alarm buzzer includes a bobbin mounted within a housing and having a base portion and a hollow cylindrical portion. The mounting plate is interposed between the bottom wall and the base portion. A coil is wound around the cylindrical portion, and opposite ends of the coil are connected respectively to a pair of terminals mounted on the base portion. An iron core extends through the cylindrical portion of the bobbin and is held in engagement with the bobbin and the bottom wall, thereby holding the bobbin and the mounting plate against movement with respect to the housing. An armature is resiliently supported on the mounting plate for being attracted into the core upon energization of the electromagnet. Upon de-energization of the electromagnet, the armature is returned into striking contact with a vibratory plate to produce a sound under the restoring force of the resilient means.

  • Patent number: 4692741
Abstract: A motor actuated buzzer includes a motor mounted on a body, at least one cam member fixedly mounted on an output shaft of the motor, a sound generating plate mounted on the body, and a hammer for striking the sound generating plate, the cam having a plurality of radial protrusions. At least one leaf spring is fixed to the body at one end thereof and urged toward the cam member. The leaf spring carries the hammer intermediate opposite ends thereof and having at a free end thereof a projection. The radial protrusions are engageable with the projection upon rotation of the cam member to oscillate the leaf spring to intermittently bring the hammer into striking contact with the sound generating plate to produce a buzzing sound.

  • Patent number: 4599498
Abstract: A tamper switch includes an elongated tamper element mounted on a casing for movement along an axis thereof between an inoperative and an operative position. An urging device normally urges the tamper element into one of the operative and inoperative positions. A pair of elongated resilient contact plates are mounted within and fixedly secured to the casing at their one ends, the pair of contact plates being disposed in generally parallel opposed relation to each other. Each of the contact plates has a slit extending along a length thereof and opening to the other end thereof. A contact element is secured to the tamper element. The contact element is urged in between the pair of contact plates to make electrical contact therewith when the tamper element is brought into the operative position. By virtue of the provision of the slit in each contact plate, the contact plate is held in contact with the contact element throughout substantially the entire width thereof.
