Patent number: 12166621Abstract: Methods and techniques are described for increasing data rate at a high error performance in wireless transmission. A plurality of groups of p bits, wherein p is an integer greater than 1, is obtained. A transmission signal is generated, which includes, for a group of p bits dividing the group of p bits into a first subgroup of p1 bits and a second subgroup of p2 bits, wherein p1 and p2 are integers greater than zero. Based on the p1 bits, a sequence of modulation schemes is selected from a plurality of predetermined sequences of modulation schemes. The predetermined sequences are mutually different, and each of the predetermined sequences has length R, wherein R is an integer greater than 1. The p2 bits onto R subcarriers are mapped respectively by means of the R modulation schemes of the selected sequence. Finally, the generated transmission signal is transmitted.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2021Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignees: Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A. Patent number: 10498820Abstract: The present invention relates to a data storage and retrieval system. The system includes a at least one client device; and at least one-server. The server includes at least one memory, a processor and a log store. The client data is divided into different blocks and stored in the server. Different logs are generated for each block and stored in the log store. The storage in the server are audited for ensuring their integrity. The present invention also relates to a method used to store and retrieve data form the above system. The present invention also relates to a method used to initialize empty buffers in a storage of a system.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2017Date of Patent: December 3, 2019Assignee: KOC UNIVERSITYInventors: Alptekin Kupcu, Mohammad Etemad

Patent number: 9909460Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a quantum Otto cycle, including a superconducting LC resonator circuit electrically coupled to an input control unit with a reservoir source and a waveform generator configured to generate a bias current. A superconducting flux qubit is coupled to the LC resonator via a superconducting quantum interference device (“SQUID”). The SQUID generates a flux in the presence of the bias current, and the flux generated by the SQUID mediates a coupling rate between the flux qubit and the LC resonator. The waveform generator alternates the bias current to adiabatically change the coupling rate between the flux qubit and the LC resonator during adiabatic stages of the quantum Otto cycle. The reservoir source sends pulses to thermalize the flux qubit and the LC resonator system during isochoric stages of the quantum Otto cycle.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2016Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignees: Lockheed Martin Corporation, Koc UniversityInventors: Edward Henry Allen, Ferdi Altintas, Ali U. Patent number: 8738421Abstract: A new method and a computer system to implement the method for SKU sales prediction in the presence of promotions for existing and new SKUs are introduced. These predictions are necessary for the retailer's order quantity decisions. Considering that the retailers are faced with shorter product life cycles and increasingly dynamic categories, they need tools that can cope with new SKUs and other changes in the category. The interpretability of the models is an important requirement for user acceptance of automated systems. The Driver Moderator method models are parsimonious and consistent across sister categories, and provide generalized insights across SKUs and stores into store, brand, SKU dynamics for various decisions such as category assortment or promotion planning.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2013Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Vehbi Koc Foundation Koc UniversityInventor: Ozden Gur Ali
