Patent number: 4265130Abstract: A vibration generator has a driven excitation shaft on which are fixed two axially-spaced first eccentric weights. A second eccentric weight positioned between the two first eccentric weights also rotates with the excitation shaft but is angularly adjustable thereon about the longitudinal axis of the shaft in order to adjust the vibration amplitude. Such adjustment employs a pawl mounted on one of said first eccentric weights for two-and-fro movement tangentially of a gear ring mounted on said second eccentric weight and with the toothed periphery of which the pawl engages. The second eccentric weight is lockable in adjusted position by a friction disc mounted on said one first eccentric weight and into frictional engagement with which the second eccentric weight is urged by a set of annular disc springs disposed in compression between the second eccentric weight and the other of said first eccentric weights.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1979Date of Patent: May 5, 1981Assignee: Koehring GmbH - Bomag DivisionInventors: Gulertan Vural, Udo Carle, Manfred Lenkeit

Patent number: 4262755Abstract: A pile driver has a hollow and elongated cylindrical housing. Within the housing, a ram can slide upwardly and downwardly in order to provide the force which can drive a pile into dense strata of the earth. A follower, located partially inside the housing and extending out of the bottom therof, is struck by the ram and is thus interposed between the ram and the pile to be driven when the device is operated. Various devices are disclosed which serve as shock absorbers, the devices cooperating with the follower and with the housing in order to absorb recoil shock which is reflected back to the pile driver after a blow has been transmitted to the pile by the ram via the follower. These devices are so designed that the exterior diameter of the housing does not have to be substantially increased, which allows the pile driver thus manufactured to drive piles through surrounding guides.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 1978Date of Patent: April 21, 1981Assignee: Koehring GmbHInventor: Hans Kuhn

Patent number: 4170308Abstract: A hydraulic function disconnect means is interposed between an operator's control lever and a spring centered hydraulic control valve for a hydraulic motor actuator. The means is operable when the hydraulically actuated element approaches a limit position to prevent any operation of the valve by the lever which would move the element toward the limit position while permitting operation of the valve which results in movement of the element away from the limit position. A solenoid operated detent is used to control the ability of the disconnect means to transmit movements of the lever to the valve. The hydraulic function disconnect means forms part of the linkage in a two blocking prevention device used on boom-type material handling equipment such as a cable equipped crane in which the hydraulically actuated element comprises the movable hook and the cable is drawn in or paid out by a hydraulic motor actuator.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1977Date of Patent: October 9, 1979Assignee: Koehring CompanyInventor: Richard E.
