    Abstract: Provided is a coupling for fluid pipes, comprising a plug and a socket. The socket includes a socket body, a sleeve slidably fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the socket body and urged toward the distal end thereof, and a plurality of locking members provided on the socket body and capable of being engaged with and disengaged from an outer peripheral groove by means of the sleeve. The pipe coupling further comprises a pair of end faces provided individually on the plug and the socket and adapted to abut against each other when the plug and the socket are joined, and a shaped packing provided on one of the coupling end faces and adapted to prevent admission of external air when the coupling end faces abut against each other and to prevent the fluid from leaking out when the coupling end faces are separated from each other.

    Abstract: Provided is a low-noise, long-life electromagnetic blower that has a simple, low-priced configuration and can realize two different outputs, high and low. When the electromagnetic blower is operated with low output, coils of an electromagnet are connected in series with each other, and an alternating current is supplied from an AC power source. When the blower is operated with high output, on the other hand, current is supplied to the one coil only. In the case where the electromagnetic blower is used for sewage disposal, the electromagnetic blower is operated with low output during aeration and with high output during reverse cleaning operation. Thereupon, the electromagnetic blower can operate with low noise during aeration, and the efficiency of reverse cleaning can be improved. In order to operate the electromagnetic blower with high output, moreover, the coils of the electromagnet may be connected in parallel with each other.

Raking plates 12 for raking up paper stock liquid in the cleaning zones 10 in a direction of rotation of the drum are spacedly arranged in the peripheral direction between the adjacent baffle plates 9. The raking plates 12 are allowed to project from internal edges of the baffle plates 9. The paper stock moves, zone by zone, through the cleaning zones 10 formed between the baffle plates 9 and reaches a paper stock outlet port 5. The paper stock, when in the paper stock cleaning zones 10, is raked up in the peripheral direction by the raking plates 12 in accordance with rotation of the air-permeable and water-permeable drum 1 and falls by force of gravity, repeatedly.

The first hook and the second hook are located within the housing. The first hook releases the biopsy needle and the second hook releases the cannula causing the biopsy needle to protrude downward prior to the cannula protruding downward. The biopsy needle is spaced apart from the first spring and the cannula is spaced apart from the second spring.

    Abstract: A pipe coupling comprises a socket including a cylindrical main body having an axial bore for a fluid, an annular valve seat at the forward end, a ball type valve body rotatable relative to the valve seat and having a through hole and a casing fitted over the main body and rotatably retaining the ball valve in cooperation with the valve seat, and a plug inserted in the through hole. The casing has a long hole including a wider area and a narrower area. The ball valve communicates the through hole with the axial bore when the through hole is aligned with the narrower area and closes the axial bore when the trough hole is aligned with the wider area. The coupling comprises a guide for guiding the ball valve along the long hole from a position in which the through hole is aligned with the wider area.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic diaphragm pump has two compression sections operated by an AC. Each of the compression sections comprises an oscillator disposed within a housing and holding a permanent magnet, a pair of diaphragms each having a peripheral portion fixed to the housing and a central portion fixed to an end portion of the oscillator, a pair of field cores sandwiching the oscillator and having magnetic poles displaced relative to the permanent magnet by a predetermined amount, coils for producing magnetic fluxes at the field cores, and compression chambers opposed to end portions of the oscillator, one of walls of each of the compression chambers being formed by an associated one of the diaphragms. The field cores have the magnetic poles magnetized by the AC supplied to the coils, whereby the permanent magnet is alternately attracted and repelled by the magnetic poles to vibrate the diaphragms and to vary the volumes of the compression chambers. The two compression chambers share one field core.
