Abstract: According to the process for producing a foam sheet having an embossed pattern of the present invention, a coating containing an aliphatic ketone type solvent as its main ingredient and being incapable by itself of substantially inhibiting decomposition of a blowing agent comprising azodicarbonamide as its main ingredient is printed in the form of a pattern on selected portions of the surface of a foamable polyvinyl chloride resin sheet material containing a specific amine or amines and the blowing agent, and the foamable sheet material subsequently is heated to foam it.
Abstract: Process for preparing flame retarding polyurethane foams from a polyhydroxyl compound, diisocyanate mixture, a blowing agent, a catalyst and any other auxiliary agent if necessary, comprising mixing polyhydroxyl compound having at least two active hydrogen atoms per molecule, a molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000 and wherein at least 10% by weight of the hydroxyl groups are primary hydroxyl groups, and a diisocyanate mixture containing 10 to 60% by weight of a modified diisocyanate prepared from the reaction of a diisocyanate compound expressed by the formula ##STR1## wherein X is an oxygen or sulfur atom.
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for preparing unshrinking, flexible, and flame retarding polyurethane foams from a polyhydroxyl compound, diisocyanate, a blowing agent, a catalyst and other auxiliary agents.
Abstract: A confinement is composed, in its collapsed stored condition, two diametrically opposed double-layer portions folded to meet each other and another two opposed double-layer portions folded to cover at least in part the first two portions. The folded confinement is placed in its receptacle.

Abstract: Apparatus for spouting powder or fluid and including means for preventing operational problems caused by static electricity without requiring grounding devices is formed with a spout tube embodying therein a nozzle and defining a flow passage through which the powder or fluid flows. A transport tube through which the powder or fluid moves to the spout tube is provided and a main body is arranged to contain the powder or fluid from which it is delivered to the transport tube. The invention particularly includes a projecting electricity-eliminating member composed of material having volume resistivity of 10.sup.8 .OMEGA.-cm or less. The electricity-eliminating member is placed in the flow passage facing the flow layer of the powder or fluid flowing through the device and is electrostatically connected to the main body.
Abstract: A process for preparing low smoke-generating rigid foams with a polyisocyanate, a polyol, a blowing agent, and a catalyst and surfactant, which comprises using an aromatic polyisocyanate as a polyisocyanate in the range between 3 to 5 times to the total amount of the compounds having active hydrogen in chemical equivalent, a polyol having a hydroxyl value less than 200 and containing more than 10% of primary hydroxyl groups, and water as a blowing agent in the amount of 2 to 6 parts by weight against 100 parts of above polyol together with catalysts suitable for isocyanate trimerization as the main catalyst.
Abstract: A process for preparing rigid polyurethane foam in which the major ingredients are a polyisocyanate, a polyol having more than three hydroxy groups and a hydroxyl value greater than 100, and blowing agents, comprising adjusting the ratio of the chemical equivalent of polyisocyanate to the polyol and blowing agent which react with the polyisocyanate to the range between 2 : 1 and 1 : 1, and adding a polymer of glucose and/or a derivative thereof in the form of a powder in the amount exceeding 5% by weight.
