  • Patent number: 6559760
Abstract: A platform monitoring system includes a camera for capturing a situation on a platform. An image captured by the camera is transmitted from a light emitter on the ground side as an optical signal and also transmitted from a transmission antenna on the ground side as a radio wave signal. These signals are received by an optical receiver and a reception antenna, respectively, mounted in a leading end portion of a vehicle. When the vehicle is positioned in a region around a stopping position, an image carried by the optical signal is selectively displayed on a monitor disposed near an operator's seat in the vehicle. When the vehicle is positioned out of the region around the stopping position, an image carried by the radio wave signal is selectively displayed on the monitor near the operator's seat in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6481872
Abstract: An astral lamp includes a light source and a concave mirror. The concave mirror reflects light emitted by the light source and condenses the reflected light on a light source side toward an illumination area remote from the light source. The concave mirror is constituted by a plurality of concave mirror surfaces that form one parabolic mirror of revolution as a whole. The mirror surfaces respectively have curved surfaces for separately reflecting the light emitted by the light source and condensing the reflected light toward an entire portion of the illumination area.

  • Patent number: 5901383
Abstract: The slide support base 62 protrudes from the supporting wall 56 of the support recess 52 in the casing main body 14 and the tube-shaped support part 122 on the side of the toilet lid 100 is supported by and capable of sliding over its cylindrical surface 65a. The rotational pin 70 of the viscous resistance mechanism 80 protrudes from slide support base 62 and the rotational pin 70 fits in the fitting recess 132 on the side of the toilet lid 100. That is, the toilet lid 100 is pivotably supported to the casing main body 14 by two support structures. To remove the toilet lid 100 from the casing main body 14, the toilet lid is raised to the upright position and then applied with upward force to be pulled out. Since the opening 124 and the opening 136 are formed in the tube-shaped support part 122 and the fitting recess 132, the toilet lid 100 is removed from the casing main body through them.
