Abstract: The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads and has a main body (1?) on which the moldings (6) are provided, distributed over the circumference. Said moldings are provided with thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Profile grinding tools are used to produce the thread-forming teeth (13, 14), both in the main body (1?) as well as in the moldings (6). In order for the thread former to be produced easily and cost-effectively, the moldings (6) protrude radially beyond the main body (1?) so far that the profile tool only engages with the molding when producing the thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Consequently, the profiling tool only has to machine one type of material. The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads, particularly of internal threads.
Abstract: The invention relates to a tool head for machine-tools comprising a base body (10) rotatable around an axis of rotation (13), a slider (14) which bears a cutting tool and is adjustable with respect to the base body (10) along an axis of displacement (16) oriented radially with respect to the rotation axis (13) with the aid of a drive mechanism and at least one balancing body (20) for damping the unbalance caused by the slider (14). The aim of said invention is to damp the unbalance and to reduce operating forces. For this purpose, at least two balancing body (20) whose center of gravity (28?, 28?) is offset on the side of the axis of displacement (16) are guidable and/or pivotable with respect to the slider and the base body at points remote from each other.
Abstract: A solid drill bit for machine tools has a drill bit body and two indexable inserts arranged at a radial distance from one another in respective insert seats. The inserts have an essentially quadratic contour. Their front-end main cutting edges project axially beyond the drill bit body and radially overlap one another. The outer insert has an outer insert corner and a secondary cutting edge perpendicular to the main cutting edge that projects radially beyond the circumference of the drill bit body. To permit burr-free through-drilling, the main cutting edge of the outer insert is subdivided in its longitudinal extent into a radially inner working section and a rectilinear peeling section adjoining the working section and extending to the outer insert corner. The sections enclose a setting angle of 95° to 120°. The peeling section is set at a positive setting angle of 72° to 87°.
