Patent number: 5250965Abstract: An eyeball microscope used for observing or photographing epitherial and endothelial cells and likes of a cornea, which is provided with an illuminating optical system for projecting an illuminating light beam onto an object, an observing optical system for observing or photographing an imaging light beam from the object and parallel slits moving across the optical paths of both optical systems, and arranged to scan the object with optical images of certain slits and, at the same time, to lead the imaging beam from the object through the same number of separate slits into the observing optical system, thereby shutting off all unwanted reflecting beams other than the imaging beam.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1991Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute Inc.Inventors: Kuniomi Abe, Susumu Fujita

Patent number: 5177512Abstract: An eyeball microscope used for observing or photographing epithelial and endothelial cells and likes of a cornea, which is provided with an illuminating optical system for projecting an illuminating light beam onto an object, an observing optical system for observing or photographing an imaging light beam from the object and parallel slits moving across the optical paths of both optical systems, and arranged to scan the object with optical images of some of the slits and observe imaging beams from the object through other slits, thereby shutting off all unwanted reflecting beams. In this invention, it is suited for both eye observation and photography by composing the slits of plural groups which are mutually different in design.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1991Date of Patent: January 5, 1993Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute Inc.Inventors: Kuniomi Abe, Susumu Fujita

Patent number: 5070883Abstract: A goggle type eye movement analyzing device which can be mounted on examinee's head incorporating a pair of eyepieces positioned in front of the eyes. Each eyepiece includes a light source, a target, and a TV camera which receives light reflected from the eye to observe eye movement. A video analyzing device is connected to the eyepieces so that it records and analyzes signals from the TV cameras which can automatically focus on the proximate area of the iris of the eye.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1989Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute Inc.Inventor: Tatsuya Kasahara

Patent number: 5002385Abstract: A target device used in an eye movement testing device made up of a light group and a refractor. The light group includes a plurality of light sources lined-up side by side behind an window which opens in the front wall of the casing of the testing device, and the refractor is installed to cover the window from the outside of the casing and face the eye to be examined. When the light sources are successively lit on and off, moving virtual images of the light sources are created so that the images which are expanded (to be longer or higher than the light sources) can be seen through the refractor. Thus, the eye movement (nystagmus) induced when the eye follows these types of moving images, is observed.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1990Date of Patent: March 26, 1991Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute Inc.Inventors: Tatsuya Kasahara, Kuniomi Abe, Yoshibumi Udagawa

Patent number: 4993825Abstract: A device for photographing eye movement including a target comprising a plurality of lights arranged in a cross-shape with the center thereof being positioned on the eye axis of an examinee, a TV camera positioned behind the target so that at least a principal point of the TV camera's lens thereof is located on an optical line that passes near the center of the target and the examinee's pupil and a light receiving element set on the optical line so that an eye image is formed on the light receiving element.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1989Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute Inc.Inventors: Kuniomi Abe, Tatsuya Kasahara

Patent number: 4988183Abstract: An eye movement inspection device of goggle shape with a light-shut-out cover which creates a "dark room" in front of eyes. Inside of the goggles, infrared ray radiators (LEDs) illuminate light on the eyes through reflection plates, and micro TV camera catch eye movement which is made when the eyes follow the on-and-off target LEDs arranged in cross shape in front of the eyes. The infrared ray radiator, TV camera, reflection plates and target LEDs are assembled in a single unit, forming a movable eyepiece for each eye, and the eyepieces provided side by side are freely movable horizontally, vertically and in the direction of ocular axis.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1989Date of Patent: January 29, 1991Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute, Inc.Inventors: Tatsuya Kasahara, Kyuichi Kishi

Patent number: 4467364Abstract: A device used, when a color printing block is produced from a color photographic film in accordance with color scanner technique, for compensating a difference in color density between photograph and print and arranged to measure accumulative density distribution of a color signal picked up from the photographic film, just before and after effecting tone control operation as monitoring an optimum tone-controlled color image, and, then, arithmetically process the measured data to obtain the amount of correction to be effected at each density, which is displayed on a cathode ray rube in a form of correction curve and/or printed on a paper in a form of table.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1982Date of Patent: August 21, 1984Assignee: Konan Camera Research Institute, Inc.Inventor: Masahiko Konagaya
