  • Patent number: 6892599
Abstract: A gear shift device for vehicles with a mechanical, manually operable gearbox (9) for the vehicle (2). A gear level (1) is linked to the hydraulic master (55, 55?, 56, 56?) to respective slave cylinders (8, 18) for engagement or disengagement of gears during a manual mode of operation for the gear shift device. The gear level (1) is arranged to be brought from a position, wherein a gear is engaged, via a neutral or free position. By means of the gear level (1), the gear shift device can be brought into an automatic mode of operation (A). An electronic control device (44) is arranged to receive signals concerning a chosen mode of operation and driving parameter values. When an automatic mode of operation is chosen, the connection between the master cylinders (5, 15) and the slave cylinders (8, 18) is broken, and a connection is established between the control device (44) and the slave cylinders (8, 18) for automatic control of the slave cylinders.

  • Patent number: 6746220
Abstract: A pressure fluid-delivery device comprising a cylinder, a piston and a reservoir for a fluid. A V-seal is mounted in an annulus between the cylinder and the piston. An axial movement of the piston forwards relative to the cylinder results in a delivery of a pressure fluid from the cylinder space. A first leg, in a similar fashion to a check valve, hereby springingly attempts to seal an outlet opening of a channel, which communicates with the reservoir. When the piston is moved backwards, this leg can open the outlet opening, admitting fluid into the cylinder space. The seal rests on a forwardly facing, radially outwardly extending surface of the piston. The seal's first leg projects slantingly radially inwards and is arranged to come into abutment against an axially extending portion of the piston. The seal's second leg projects slantingly radially outwards and constantly abuts sealingly against the cylinder surface.

  • Patent number: 6443287
Abstract: A clutch for connecting a flywheel (1) on a drive shaft (2) of an engine with a driven shaft (15) of a gearbox. The flywheel (1) is connected to a clutch cover (7) and between them there is disposed an axially movable pressure plate (8). A clutch disc (9), which is non-rotationally connected to the driven shaft (15), can be clamped between the pressure plate (8) and the flywheel (2) by means of a spring (21) which forces the pressure plate (8) against the flywheel (2). By operating an actuator device (44), the spring's (21) connection with the pressure plate (8) can be broken. According to the invention the clutch comprises a swivel being arranged between the actuator and the driven shaft. The swivel is for transferring a pressure fluid or an electric current to the actuator which may be a hydraulic or an electric actuator.

  • Patent number: 6324883
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the formation of an enlarged end portion of a bar (48) by upset forging. Before upsetting, the bar end portion (46) is heated to a forging temperature and passed through a passage (40) of a form part (2,4) and into a cavity (44) with increased cross-sectional area which is defined by the form part (2,4). The portion of the cavity (44) which is located opposite the passage (40) is defined by wall (42) with a shape corresponding to the cavity's (44) cross section. For the formation of the enlarged end portion, the wall (42) is pressed against the end of the bar and upsets the bar end portion until the bar material fills the cavity (44). According to the method a bar portion which is located in the passage (40) is also heated to forging temperature, and the form part (2,4) is moved simultaneously with the wall (42), whereby this bar portion (48) is successively fed into the cavity (44) during the upsetting process.

  • Patent number: 6223533
Abstract: A primary pipe system includes a master cylinder with corresponding pressure sensor that produces a primary electrical signal. A secondary pipe system includes a working cylinder with a pressure sensor that produces a secondary electrical signal. The secondary pipe system generates a secondary pressure on the working cylinder as a function of the primary electrical signal. A computer continuously processes the primary and secondary electrical signals to transmit an electrical signal at a fixed frequency with a period that is divided into two intervals to an electromagnetic valve. During the first interval the electromagnetic valve is kept in a first operational position and during the second interval it is kept in a second operational position. The computer varies the intervals according to an algorithm for rapid actuation of the working cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5850844
Abstract: A pressure reduction valve for reducing the pressure in double-acting, closed hydraulic systems when they are not attended. The valve comprises a valve housing (1) with a boring (6), whose ends communicate with the respective circuits, and wherein there are provided two slide valves (21, 22), which are attempted to be forced away from each other by a spring device (39). Each slide valve (21, 22) has a seat (28, 29) for a valve body (31, 32) which is influenced by springs (37, 38) which are also arranged to move the slide valves (21, 22) towards each other. Between the valve bodies (31, 32) there extends slidably a rod (40), whose ends can influence the valve bodies, and whose length is adapted to the slide valves (21, 22) possible distances of movement, thus enabling it to bring the valve bodies alternately away from their seats when the slide valves are forced towards each other under the influence of the pressures in the respective hydraulic circuits.
