  • Patent number: 8459640
Abstract: A transporting device includes steering rollers, a center roller which is disposed between the steering rollers and deflection-detecting sensors that are positioned downstream from the steering rollers. When a sheet of paper has a width which is narrower than a width of a reference sheet of paper, the positional deflection of the sheet of paper is corrected by transporting the sheet of paper to a shift roller with the sheet of paper being nipped by the center roller and thrusting a forward end of the sheet of paper against a shift roller. When a sheet of paper has a width which exceeds the width of the reference sheet of paper, the positional deflection of the sheet of paper is corrected by rotating the steering rollers separately based on a detected result of the sensors with the sheet of paper being nipped by the steering rollers.

  • Patent number: 8464360
Abstract: There is described an information processing apparatus, which makes it possible to prevent a third party from stealing and using data owned by the correctly access-authorized person, so as to securely control the data concerned. The information processing apparatus includes: a data storage section to store data; an acquiring section to acquire positional information of an access-authorized person and a control section to determine whether or not an accessing operation for accessing to the data stored in the data storage section should be allowed, based on a determined result thereof. When the external terminal device tries to access into the data stored in the data storage section or the storing area of the data, the control section transmits a request of inputting authentication information to the external terminal device, in order to determine whether or not the accessing operation to be conducted by the external terminal device should be allowed.

  • Patent number: 8463162
Abstract: The present invention is capable of changing the system speed quickly and highly accurately while using a CVT device with an advantage in its quietness to transmit a driving force to rotative parts. Specifically, in the case of using a sheet of thick paper as a recording sheet, the controller changes, for each of the pulleys, the distance between the pulley segments (S204) while starting up the DC motor as the driving source (S202). After that, the controller performs the feedback control on the rotation of the DC motor, based on a detection signal received from the encoder of the load shaft of the driven pulley, to achieve the target rotation speed of the load shaft (S206: NO, S207).
