Abstract: A data-processing arrangement (MPS) comprises a main processor (MPR) and an auxiliary processor (APR). A system-program code (SYS) causes the main processor to write an application-program code (APCi+1) into a shared memory (DPRAM). The system-program code further causes the main processor to write an address indication, which indicates where the application-program code has been written into the shared memory, into a predefined memory location. A startup-program code (SPC) causes the auxiliary processor to retrieve the address indication from the predefined memory location so as to subsequently transfer the application-program code from the shared memory to an application-program memory (APM), which belongs to the auxiliary processor.

  • Publication number: 20090072263
Abstract: A light emitting device is produced by depositing a layer of wavelength converting material over the light emitting device, testing the device to determine the wavelength spectrum produced and correcting the wavelength converting member to produce the desired wavelength spectrum. The wavelength converting member may be corrected by reducing or increasing the amount of wavelength converting material. In one embodiment, the amount of wavelength converting material in the wavelength converting member is reduced, e.g., through laser ablation or etching, to produce the desired wavelength spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20090074129
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer tomography method for the detection of a cyclically moved object in an examination zone. First, after the acquisition of the measured values, a rough image of the examination zone is reconstructed from which a region relevant for the further method is selected. For the generation of an image with reduced motion artifacts or improved temporal resolution, reconstruction windows in predefinable position are used, which are optimized in such a way that they are, on the one hand, smallest possible, on the other hand, however, sufficiently large, to be able to reconstruct all voxels of this region. Only measured values acquired within the reconstruction windows are taken into account for the reconstruction of a CT image of the region.

  • Patent number: 7506049
Abstract: In a shared medium communication system, a common measure for avoiding collisions of application data is a request grant mechanism. Secondary stations contending for upstream bandwidth send requests on a shared medium, wherein each request is answered by a grant from the primary station. The efficiency of such a system may be improved if at least two access requests are merged into a multi request.

  • Patent number: 7505465
Abstract: In a packet transmission system, an importance level is assigned by a transmitter to transmitted packets. The transmitted packets contain one or more importance levels of those packets transmitted previously, so that a receiver can recover the importance level associated with a lost packet from a received packet. The receiver decides whether to send a retransmission request relating to the lost packet based on the importance level of the lost packet.

  • Patent number: 7505551
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for the three-dimensional reconstruction of the flow conditions in a vascular system (3), in which, in a first phase after the beginning of a contrast-medium injection, X-ray projection pictures are produced from the same direction (A) at a high picture-taking rate in order to observe the inflow of the contrast medium. When the contrast medium fills the vascular system (3), a rotation of the Xray device (1) takes place during which projection pictures are produced at a lower picture taking rate and/or at a lower radiation dose, from which pictures the three-dimensional structure of the vascular tree can be reconstructed. Optionally, at the end of the rotation, projection pictures may again be taken from a fixed direction that observe the drainage of the contrast medium from the vascular system (3).

  • Patent number: 7503656
Abstract: A projection system includes an image projection apparatus window and a transparent holographic screen deflecting light from the image projection apparatus into discrete, mutually spaced directions so that an area which is free from images is formed between identical images. Projected, mutually spaced holographic frames of the image is visualized by the holographic screen that includes a film layer which is partially illuminated multiple times at different pick-up angles to the same object of an image, so that the film layer has hologram images of the same object at mutually different pick-up angles. The transparent screen may include many holographic film layers, in which each film layer is illuminated once at different pick-up angles to the same object, so that each film layer has one hologram image of the object at a different pick-up angle.

  • Publication number: 20090066318
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic sensor device comprising excitation wires (11, 13) for generating a magnetic excitation field and a magnetic sensor element, particularly a GMR sensor (12), for sensing magnetic fields generated by labeling particles in reaction to the excitation field. The magnetic excitation fields are generated with non-sinusoidal forms, particularly as square-waves, such that their spectral range comprises a plurality of frequency components. Magnetic particles with different magnetic response characteristics can then be differentiated according to their reactions to the different frequency components of the excitation fields. The magnetic excitation field and the sensing current driving the GMR sensor (12) are preferably generated with the help of ring modulators (22, 24). Moreover, ring modulators (27, 29) may be used for the demodulation of the sensor signal.

Abstract: X-ray tube and method for determination of focal spot properties. The invention relates to an x-ray tube (1) comprising at least one cathode (3) which emits electrons accelerated towards a rotating anode (5) such that the focal spot (27) is formed on a surface (9) of the anode (5). A structure (15), in particular slits or pits (13), is disposed on the surface (9) of the anode (5). The x-ray tube (1) comprises a detector (7) for detecting a detection signal which changes, if the structure (15) on the rotating anode (5) passes the focal spot. The x-ray tube (1) further comprises determination means (6) for determining properties of the focal spot from changes of the detection signal. Thus, properties of the focal spot can be determined from changes of the detection signal during operation of the x-ray tube (1).

Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system produces an image with an extended focal range by transmitting a plurality of beams spaced along an array for multiline reception. The receive multilines of a plurality of transmit beams are spatially aligned and are combined with phase adjustment between the respective receive multilines to prevent undesired phase cancellation. The combined multilines produce the effect of an extended transmit focus so that an image produced using the combined multilines exhibits an extended focal range. To prevent motion artifacts the multiline order is adjustable as a function of image motion.
