Abstract: A combined magnetic resonance (MR) and radiation therapy system (10) includes a bore-type magnet (12) with a magnet radiation translucent region (16) which allows radiation beams to travel radially through the magnet and a split-type gradient coil (18) includes a gradient coil radiation translucent region (20) aligned to the magnet radiation translucent region (16). A radiation source (24), disposed laterally to the magnet, administers a radiation dose through the magnet and gradient coil radiation translucent regions (16, 20) to an examination region (14). A dosage unit (66) determines the actual radiation dose delivered to each voxel of a target volume (30) and at least one non-target volume based on a pre-treatment, intra-treatment, and/or post-treatment image representation of the target volume (30) and the at least one non-target volume. A planning processor (60) updates at least one remaining radiation dose of a radiation therapy plan based on the determined actual radiation dose.

Abstract: A system and a method for processing data obtained from an input signal including physiological information representative of at least one at least partially periodic vital signal. Abstract: The invention relates to a cleaning device (1) for removing particles from a surface (11). Thereto the device sprays droplets (200) of a fluid (201) into a space (213). Air carrying dirt particles (202) is exposed to the mist, whereby dirt particles coalesce with droplets in the mist in the space (213). Abstract: When estimating an arterial input function or a patient under study, cross-calibration factors are generated by comparing nuclear scan data of a radioactive material (e.g., F18) and measuring a sample of the radioactive material in a gamma counter. The derived cross-calibration factors are applied to venous samples collected from the patient during a nuclear scan after infusion with a radioactive tracer, to convert gamma values counted by the gamma counter into concentration values. The concentration values are used to optimize an initial estimated input function, thereby generating an arterialized input function.
Abstract: A lighting device, such as a replacement lighting device, comprising a light source (LS), e.g. LEDs, for producing light along an optical axis (OA). A heat sink (HS) made of a material with an electrical resistivity being less than 0.01 ?m, e.g. a metallic heat sink being a part of the housing, transports heat away from the light source (LS). A Radio Frequency (RF) communication circuit (CC) connected to an antenna (A) serves to enable RF signal communication, e.g. to control the device via a remote control. Metallic components, including the heat sink (HS), having an extension larger than 1/10 of a wavelength of the RF signal are arranged below a virtual plane (VP) drawn orthogonal to the optical axis (OA) and going through the antenna (A). Hereby a compact device can be obtained, and still a satisfying RF radiation pattern can be obtained. The antenna can be a wire antenna or a PCB antenna, e.g. a PIFA or a IFA type antenna.
