Abstract: A distributed system in a data network for processing real time data streams from multiple data sources includes perceptors accessible over the data network each being configured to perform a specific task. Each perceptor receives one or more of the real time data streams and provides an output data stream indicative of the results of performing the specific task. In addition, the distributed system includes also multiple applications accessible over the data network. Each application is configured to receive one or more of the output data streams of the perceptors and each application is configured to provide a response based on analyzing the received output data streams of the perceptors. The distributed system also includes a stream server accessible over the data network. The stream server receives the real time data streams and is configured to provide any of the received real time data streams to any of the perceptors.

Abstract: A method for providing a video player for a network of multiple live video sources includes: causing to be included in a webpage a first program line embedding a universal resource locator wherein, when the webpage is received into a web browser running on a computing device, the first code line causes the web browser to retrieve a file specified by the universal resource locator, the file executed within the web browser; including in the file a program code wherein, when the program code is executed at the web browser, the program code provides in the web browser a video player having capability to communicate messages between the video player and an application server; serving the file to the web browser when the web browser retrieves the executable file at the universal locator; and at the application server, handling message communication between the video player and the application server.

Abstract: A support assembly for a camera having lens protruding from the camera includes (a) a hood having an opening to accommodate the protruding lens and a front end having a rim that lies on a single plane configured to rest snugly against a flat surface, the hood further includes a gimbaling collar around the opening to allow rotation of protruding lens around a symmetrical axis of the hood, so as to enable the camera to be positioned in any one of a number of positions that result in the protruding lens being pointed in one of a plurality of corresponding directions; (b) a base structure having a suction cup for attachment by suction on the flat surface; and (c) a connecting arm connecting the base structure to the hood.
