Patents Assigned to Koppens Machinefabriek B.V.
  • Patent number: 5476034
Abstract: An oven for frying food products in hot oil comprises a tank (1) in which the frying oil can be accommodated, a gas-fired heating device (9) connected to a heat exchanger (19) which is situated in the tank and through which the smoke gases flow, and also an outlet (30) for the smoke gases emerging from the heat exchanger. In order to avoid overheating of the oil near the heating device, a bypass pipe (34) connected to the outlet is provided for conveying at least a part of the outlet smoke gases back through the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 5329916
Abstract: An oven comprises a housing and at least one heater and a conveyor belt which runs through the housing and on which food products to be heated can be accommodated. The belt runs in two helical paths about spaced parallel vertical axes, the direction of movement of the belt along one helical path, as seen from above, being opposite the direction of movement of the belt about the other helical path. The housing comprises two chambers separated by a partition, one of the helical paths of the conveyor being disposed in one chamber and the other helical path being disposed in the other chamber. The partition has an opening through which the belt runs between the chambers. In this way, different temperature levels can be maintained in the two chambers.

  • Patent number: 5129353
Abstract: An apparatus for coating an article on both sides with a continuous layer of granular flowable material of constant thickness. The apparatus includes a belt for transporting the articles, with the material being capable of passing through the belt. The belt further includes an uppermost run and a lowermost run, with guide plates positioned beneath the uppermost and lowermost runs, with the material and the belt capable of being moved over the guide plates. The lowermost run of the belt is twice oppositely guided downward in the direction of the belt's movement to form three belt sections in the lowermost run. The three belt sections further include a first belt section, a second belt section positioned beneath the first belt section, and a third belt section positioned beneath the second belt section.

  • Patent number: 4634362
Abstract: A device for manufacturing annular shaped products is achieved by forming a recess which extends about a plate-shaped part of a slide which is connected with the surrounding part of the slide with the aid of a few connecting ribs. The thickness of the plate-shaped part is at least substantially equal to the thickness of the slide part surrounding the recess and the height of the connecting ribs is less than said thickness. The undersides of the ribs are at a level above that of the underside of the slide part surrounding the recess. An expelling member is provided with hanging limbs separated from one another by slots in a manner such that the hanging limbs fit in the holes between the connecting ribs. The connecting ribs can fit in the slots.

  • Patent number: 4497244
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for covering foodstuff with granular and/or powdery material comprising a frame, a bunker supported by said frame receiving a supply of granular and/or powdery material and means for displacing the foodstuff along a path extending below an outlet port of the bunker, whereby below the outlet port a sieve plate having a plurality of apertures is arranged and the device comprises means for displacing the material flowing out of the bunker in a direction opposite the direction of displacement of the foodstuff during operation.

  • Patent number: 4298327
Abstract: A frame comprising crossplates 8 and 13 coupled and spaced apart by coupling rods 10 (FIG. 2) faces, by the crossplates 8 and 13, opposite ends of aligned plunger pairs 7 and 16, there being a plurality of said pairs associated with respective openings, in which they are a close sliding fit, in a housing in which is a supply chamber 2 surmounted by a supply hopper 6. Reciprocation of the frame 8, 10, 13 causes movement of the plungers 7, 16 with there being a movement time lag between the plungers of the pair to provide, when within the supply chamber 2, a space between the confronting ends of said plungers 7, 16, for receiving material from the chamber 2 as an object 18 which can be ejected (e.g. by wire 21) when the said ends are outside the housing 1. This arrangement ensures consistency of shape of the product and of the location at which it engages from the device, facilitating subsequent treatment and/or handling thereof.
