  • Patent number: 8014349
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving signals in a communication system. A base station allocates a quasi-dedicated control channel (QDCCH) to a first mobile station (MS), and allocates the QDCCH allocated to the first MS, to a second MS for a preset time. An MS receives a QDCCH allocated from the base station. If there is data to transmit to the base station, the MS determines whether the QDCCH is allocated to another MS different from the MS. If it is determined that the QDCCH is allocated to the MS itself, the MS transmits the data to the base station over the QDCCH.

  • Patent number: 8014784
Abstract: A method and system for allocating a channel are provided in a communication system including a plurality of Mobile Stations (MSs) and Base Stations (BSs) for providing a communication service to the plurality of MSs. A BS transmits an average Channel Quality Information (CQI) request to MSs. The MSs measure CQI with respect to their channels in response to the request from the BS, compute average CQI from the measured CQI, and transmit the average CQI to the BS. The BS selects a predefined number of MSs according to the average CQI received from the MSs and sets an MS group. The BS transmits a CQI request to the MS group. The MSs of the MS group transmit the CQI to the BS. The BS receives the CQI from the MS group and allocates a channel according to the CQI.

  • Patent number: 7792215
Abstract: Provided is a sub-harmonic frequency mixer having a structure in which two terminals of transistors receiving a Radio Frequency (RF) signal and a Local Oscillation (LO) signal are coupled. The frequency mixer is composed of a single-level structure of transistors and thus can be driven at a lower supply voltage compared to a common frequency mixer. A direct-conversion receiver employing such a frequency mixer needs an RF signal and an LO signal sources of single-phase. Therefore, the direct-conversion receiver has an architecture that simplifies a whole RF transceiver circuit and thus can be advantageously applied in implementing SoC (System-on-Chip) for a low power, high integration, low price and subminiature wireless transceiver circuit.
