Abstract: An artificial-whirlpool generator includes a whirlpool generating member including at least one water inlet, a whirlpool generating chamber communicating with the water inlet, and a whirlpool outlet that is formed at a lower end portion of the whirlpool generating member and communicates with the whirlpool generating chamber; a position-fixing means that fixes the whirlpool forming member such that the entirety of the whirlpool generating member or only a portion of the whirlpool generating member, including the whirlpool outlet is submerged; and a swirling flow forming unit that forces water in a waterbody to be introduced into the whirlpool generating chamber through the water inlet and rotates the introduced water in one direction around an axle provided at a center portion of the whirlpool generating chamber to form a whirlpool that descends toward the whirlpool outlet.
Abstract: Disclosed is a dissolved air floatation device which includes a cyclonic flotation separation tank, arranges a return pipe for treated water and a return pipe for floating scum concentrically with respect to the center pipe of a swirling flow within the floatation separation tank, forms a descending water flow along with an ascending water flow within the flotation separation tank, thereby being capable of simultaneously separating settled suspended material and floating suspended material in raw water at an improved efficiency.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a hydrocyclone floating separator, comprising: a vortex generating body which includes a water inlet, swirls water introduced through the water inlet, and includes a water outlet discharging the swirled water; an air injection unit for injecting air into water introduced through the water inlet; a drain control unit for controlling the amount of water discharged through the water outlet such that the level of the water in the vortex generating body is maintained constant; and a suspended solids removing unit for taking suspended solids out of the vortex generating body, the suspended solids existing dispersed in water being supplied to the vortex generating body and then floating and gathering towards the center of the vortex of the water surface because of the swirl flow of the water and the buoyancy of air bubbles charged in the water.
