Abstract: Provided are a method for controlling errors of an Internet fax data according to the statue of a network by using a receiver report (RR) message in a real-time transport control protocol (RTCP) and a gateway to which the method is applied. Therefore, transmission errors are reduced and a transmission speed of a fax data is improved in transmitting a fax data over the Internet. The provided method includes receiving a T.38 fax data for analyzing a predetermined QoS motoring data of the T.38 fax data and generating status information, transmitting the status information to a gateway which has transmitted the T.38 fax data, receiving the status information for analyzing a packet loss of the transmitted T.38 fax data based on the status information, and increasing or decreasing a secondary message sequence length based on an analysis result. The provided method can control errors of a T.38 packet in real time, according to the status of a network, in transmitting a T.38 fax data over the Internet.

Abstract: A method for sharing a backup path in a MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, a label switching router (LSR) for setting a backup path in an MPLS network, a system for setting a backup path in an MPLS network, and a recording medium therefor are provided. The method includes the steps of acquiring link configuration information of links included in a working path when the working path is set between a source node and a destination node, and allocating bands for a backup path using the link configuration information when the backup path is set between the source node and the destination node. In the method, an optimal band is allocated to each of links included in a backup path by calculating a band using information, which is obtained during setting of a working path, about at least one other working path sharing links with the working path when the backup path is set, thereby efficiently managing network resources without wasting them.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for summarizing a default address of a PNNI (Private Network-Network Interface) lowest level node in an ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switching system. In the method, first, a database for storing prefix information, node information and reachable address information is constructed. Parameters inputted for creating an internal prefix is arranged to be adaptable to the system, a prefix information is generated by checking the validation and address system of the parameters inputted for creating the internal prefix, and the prefix information is registered in the prefix information database. An ATM end system address is generated by checking the validation and address system of parameters inputted for creating the node information. The node address of the node information is summarized up to the bit length of the internal prefix and the summarization of a default reachable address is performed by defining the internal prefix as the default reachable summarization address.

Abstract: A VC merging apparatus and a method of establishing or terminating connection as well as a recording medium storing instructions for embodying the same method are disclosed. Abstract: Provided is a method for a network adaptive error control for selecting an appropriate error control method according to the statue of a network, in transmitting a fax data over the Internet by using a T.38 protocol. The provided method includes receiving a T.38 fax data to recognize errors, transmitting a predetermined statistical information on the T.38 fax data to the media gateway controllers, selecting an error control method by determining the status of a network over which the T.38 fax data is transmitted, based on the statistical information, transmitting the error control method to the gateway that transmits the T.38 fax data, and renewing an existing error control method by receiving the error control method and transmitting the T.38 fax data according to the renewed error control method. According to the provided method, an appropriate error control method can be used according to the status of a network in real time, in transmitting a fax data over the Internet.

Whether the client's system clock has been accurately set is one of the preconditions for the smooth provision of a public key infrastructure-based security service. A service provider providing the public key infrastructure-based security service safely receives reference time information from an objectively reliable third-party system, sets the client's system clock on the basis of the received reference time information and provides the security service on the basis of the set client's system clock. Therefore, the service provider can smoothly provide the security service while assuring the accuracy and reliability of the client's system clock. Further, the smooth provision of the security service can reduce the number of petitions from clients to the security service, thereby increasing the quality of the security service.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting the signals of transmission diversity based on space-time coding is disclosed. The apparatus and method for detecting signals of space-time coding performs linear interpolation and linear filtering to calculate the channel estimate of each transmission symbol from the channel estimate of each slot, thus providing the correct channel estimate even in a channel with considerable fluctuation. Further, the output control with estimation of SIR only passes a proper output of the demodulating and detecting circuit to improve the signal to noise ratio, maintaining enough communication quality even in a bad communication environment.

Since the dispersion flattened fiber has the dispersion of −20 to −60, it has a wide range of application and can be used for various purposes in the field of optical telecommunication.

Abstract: The invention relates to a content-based image retrieval apparatus and method via relevance feedback by using fuzzy integral and a computer readable record medium storing programs for realizing the apparatus and method. According to the invention, it is provided a content-based image retrieval apparatus and method in which image features are associated by using fuzzy integral and parameters necessary for the fuzzy integral are adjusted in similarity calculations via relevance feedback so as to improve search results.
