  • Patent number: 5331791
Abstract: It is often desired to again seal packages, consisting initially of foils hot-sealed with one another, after opening and partial removal of the content in the package in order to at least partially separate the remaining content in the package from the environment. A resealing area is provided for this purpose besides the hot-sealing area, with which the top and the bottom foil are connected to one another, which resealing area consists of individual closing elements which, fitting into each other, are provided in the two foils. The foils are not threadlike connected with one another in the resealing area. Rather dotlike closing elements exist, which also permit a small undercut. They are formed in matrixes without a top die, which matrixes are thereby subjected to an underpressure, whereas the other side of the foil is under an excess pressure. The deformation is thus brought about purely pneumatically.

  • Patent number: 5307610
Abstract: In order to be able to produce packages economically and when the package design results in undercuts being provided in a deep-drawing tool for its manufacture, a simple and practical solution for the movement of the lower parts in each of the required work stations is advantageous. These lower parts are generally vertically movable in order to be able to easily open the mold. An inclined opening of the mold or rather removal of the lower part is achieved according to the invention in such a manner that between the lower part of the tool and the lifting device for facilitating its vertical movement there is provided a carriage guide which enables also an easy horizontal movement. A guide pin fastened on the carriage guide is part of a guide system which controls a desired forced inclined guided opening of the mold. The guide system can be used in deep-drawing tools, sealing tools and similar ones.

  • Patent number: 4798115
Abstract: A pneumatic drive for punching, cutting and stamping devices, which have two tool parts which can be moved toward one another, and of which preferably one, at least in the operating position, is fixedly connected to the machine frame, is constructed such that an opening gap, which is as large as possible, is created. Furthermore, when the tool parts are moved together, the pneumatic drive is operated at a low pressure, so that additional safety devices are not needed. A pneumatic cylinder is secured on the movable tool part for this purpose, the piston rod of the pneumatic cylinder being constructed lockably in at least one end position. The piston rod of a pressure clamping element is secured on the piston rod exiting from the pneumatic cylinder. The cylinder of the pressure clamping element is arranged or fixably stationarily and consists of at least two piston cylinder units with one common piston rod, which piston cylinder units are connected one behind the other.

  • Patent number: 4366663
Abstract: A packaging device for sealingly closing an upper foil and a lower foil utilizing a framelike constructed welding device which has a separate drive for welding together the lower and the upper foil, of which at least the lower foil is formed into containerlike segments and is moved, held by a chain at the sides thereof, through the packaging device. The packaging device has an evacuating chamber which is formed of two boxlike halves, of which one half is stationary and the other half is vertically movable. One of the halves has a framelike welding device embodied therein.

  • Patent number: 4294415
Abstract: A cutter knife assembly for use in a cutting machine. The cutter knife has an opening for receiving a cutter spindle therethrough, which opening has a polygon, preferably a hexagon, shape. A stop key is arranged in the opening and on a side thereof which is opposite the location of the cutter blade. A balancing structure is provided in association with the cutter knife, the shape, weight and mounting of which is selected so that the center of gravity of the totality of the cutter knife and the associated balancing structure lies on the axis of the cutter spindle.

  • Patent number: 4153208
Abstract: A cutter set for use in a mincing machine for grinding up of food, particularly meat, cheese and fat. The food is supplied to the cutter set by a conveyor screw. The cutter set consists of at least one rotating knife and at least one perforated disk. The rotating knife has an annular channel around the periphery thereof for facilitating a discharge of hard particles contained in the food. At least a pair of cutting blades is provided on the rotating knife and is connected by a ring having the annular channel therein. At least one of the cutting blades has a radial channel communicating with the annular channel. The channel in the cutting blade is fed from an inlet adjacent the hub thereof. An outlet opening is provided in the housing in which the cutter set is mounted and has a discharge opening communicating with the annular channel for effecting a discharge of the hard particles contained in the food and collected in the annular channel.

Abstract: A vacuum food mill or blender for the cutting and mixing of food. There is provided a container associable with means for evacuating same, said container comprising a stationary lower part and a removable cover therefor. A receptacle is rotatably arranged within the container and a cutter spindle associated with suitable drive means projects into the container. Knives for cutting and mixing of the food are mounted on the spindle within the receptacle. The cover comprises two halves which are both mounted on a single hinge shaft, one thereof being pivotal with said shaft and the other thereof being pivotal with respect to said shaft. A rotatable receptacle is mounted within the container for rotation with respect thereto and the drive for same also supports said hinge shaft.
