Then, by a transaction point computer at the retail location, the item to be appraised is received, along with the consumer's selection of a food product. The item's composition is determined using an evaluating device, and an exchange value is associated with the item using data obtained by the evaluating device and market data obtained over a network. The exchange value of the item is relayed to the consumer after the food product selected by the consumer has been delivered.

Abstract: In an indirect process, acrylic adhesive is coated on a silicone liner. A soft rubber roller is employed between a reverse anilox cylinder and an anvil cylinder in a flexo print station to reduce shear hardening in the coating process and prevent or reduce shear hardening on the print rollers. Once the coated silicone liner passes the rollers, air knives are used to speed up the drying of the adhesive on the silicone liner before the coated liner is laminated to a face stock.

Abstract: A distribution marketing piece is designed to be adhered to and carried by a substrate and includes a top ply selectively adhered to a liner ply. A transverse line of separation divides the top ply into first and second sections, each section having side strips and the first section having *a central portion and the second section having a center section. Removal of the liner before application of the top ply to the substrate results in removal of the side strips along the second section which are carried with the liner ply; a portion of the liner ply remains adhered **to the first and second sections to connecting them. By folding the liner ply and the connected part of the first and second sections, the first section adheres to the substrate surrounding the center section and the central portion to define a pocket free of adhesive connection to the substrate.

The form includes a first portion with a carbonless transfer coating applied to the rear face thereof, and a second portion with a carbonless transfer coating applied to the front face thereof. The portions are positioned in an edge-to-edge relationship adjacent one another, defining a seam therebetween, and are retained in such position with heat-resistant tape. The tape includes a perforation line that extends along the seam to facilitate folding therealong and easy separation of the portions from one another. The portions include indicia areas with preprinted indicia thereon positioned such that when the first portion is folded behind the second portion, the indicia areas and preprinted indicia precisely align and an impressed image created on the second portion is automatically transferred to the first portion. Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for producing an incrementally laminated web having a series of discrete, individual segments that are preprinted prior to being placed on the web. The system includes a supply of individual segments that are prepared by cutting one or more sheets that have been printed in a number of pre-determined areas.
