  • Patent number: 4188111
Abstract: An additive tri-color lamp house having three lamps for conveying filtered light into a mixing chamber and illuminating a photographic image contained on a photographic film. The illuminated image is then projected onto a photosensitive paper for the purpose of making photographic prints and copies. The lamp house is characterized by having a combination of additive primary color filters and subtractive primary color filters positioned in front of the lamps and the amount of each additive primary color (i.e. red, green and blue) conveyed through the filters is controlled. By the proper positioning of the color filters in front of the lamps, the time required for proper exposure of the three separate emulsion layers on conventional color print paper is approximately equal.

  • Patent number: 4188115
Abstract: A magnetic film carrier used in conjunction with a light source from a photographic printer. The carrier magnetically securing the film to the top of a printer lamphouse and allowing the film to be moved at various positions on the lamphouse for misaligned film or cropping during the printing of the film.

  • Patent number: 4045809
Abstract: Photographic film developing apparatus comprises a sequence of adjacent, horizontally aligned chambers communicating with each other at their top and bottom portions. Each is adapted to contain a selected film-treating fluid agent. An infeed port communicates with one terminal chamber of the sequence and a dishcarge port with the other.Magnetic carriages mounting releasable film grips are dimensioned to traverse the chambers, trailing the film behind them. The carriages are actuated by a magnetic element mounted for reciprocation adjacent the chambers and associated with a reciprocating drive. Reciprocation of the magnetic element in a vertical plane drives the carriages and the film through one chamber after the other, thereby exposing the film sequentially to the action of the treating agents contained in the respective chambers.

  • Patent number: 4021832
Abstract: A method and a processor having infrared sensed chemical replenishing system for processing photosensitive material. The processor includes a replenishing circuitry having a power supply; a pulsed infrared sensor electrically connected to the power supply for measuring the width of photosensitive materials; a pulse generator circuit for generating a pulse width and repetition rate to the infrared sensor means; and a summing circuit for producing a summation of all latched input elements transmitted from the sensor. The replenishing circuit also includes a replenishment calibration timing circuit for producing a replenishment command signal following a successive time interval equal to the time required for the processor drive to turn one revolution, and a control circuitry for controlling the chemical flow of the replenishment system.

  • Patent number: 4005464
Abstract: An apparatus and method for developing both black and white and color photographic film using a spirally wound tube. Each convolution of the tube is adapted to contain a selected film treating fluid agent. The film to be photographically processed is attached to a carrier having a magnetic element mounted thereon. The carrier with the trailing film is inserted into the spirally wound tube. A conveyor belt having magnets attached thereto is disposed adjacent the inner circumference of the outer surface of the convolutions of the tube. The film is processed by the carrier being magnetically guided by the magnet on the conveyor belt through the sequence of the different film treating fluid agents in the convolutions of the tube.
