  • Patent number: 4737294
Abstract: The invention relates to a matrix ring magnetic separator the induction bodies of which are formed by sieve nettings which are arranged vertically and stacked behind one another in the direction of the magnetic field in such a way that the intersections of the wires of one sieve netting are located on the free field of the adjacent sieve netting resulting in the formation of sieve netting assemblies which are springy in themselves in the direction of the magnetic field. Even at very high field strength gradients such a magnetic separator is distinguished by good possibilities for cleaning and can also be produced economically.

  • Patent number: 4732334
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for crushing brittle material for comminution which is subjected to individual grain crushing and material bed crushing in a roll crusher at high pressure and with agglomerates being formed, these agglomerates being loosened in the sifter with the aid of a separate arrangement and removed from the crushing system. In this way a crushing stage which is provided for further crushing has its load significantly reduced and as a result the apparatus is rendered considerably more economical.

  • Patent number: 4730957
Abstract: A method of calibrating a pneumatic conveying apparatus wherein, with the material supply interrupted, a conveying pressure is numerically integrated and the reduction in the filling weight occurring in a specific period of time is determined. Before the beginning and at the end of the integration it is determined whether the filling weight is falling approximately evenly, i.e., whether any disturbing dynamic forces are overlying the filling weight. Such a calibration method permits alterations in the conveying capacity during the calibration.

  • Patent number: 4720262
Abstract: Apparatus for the heat treatment of fine material comprises a multi-stage cyclone preheater, a rotary kiln and a calciner supplied with tertiary air from a cooler for precalcination of the preheated fine material. The tertiary air pipe is narrowed at the point where it joins into the calciner. In this way an intensification of the mixing together of material, fuel and gas is achieved as well as an improved combustion, particularly fuels which are slow to react.

  • Patent number: 4709864
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to apparatus for the crushing of material to be comminuted by means of a material bed roll mill, in which such material is forcibly delivered in a regulable mass flow to the roll gap. In this way even materials which tend to slip on the rolls can be crushed satisfactorily. It is also possible to keep the nature of the product constant over a wide range of variations in the throughput.

  • Patent number: 4692244
Abstract: The invention relates to a disperser for a flotation system, in which the stabilizer plates are provided with holes and are offset by a specific angle against the direction of rotation of the agitator relative to a substantially radial position with respect to the agitator. By this arrangement of the stabilizer plates a significant improvement in the selectivity is achieved, particularly in the case of materials which are difficult to prepare.
