Abstract: An arrangement for connecting and disconnecting two pipe sections in a fluid transfer system. Each section includes a butterfly valve with a disk pivotally mounted inside, rotating about a swivel axis between a closed position closing the cross-section of the fluid flow and an open position opening the cross-section of the fluid flow. The swivel axes extend perpendicular to the pipe axis and parallel to each other. The swivel axes of the disks are eccentric relative to the axes of the sections to reduce the space between the disks in their closed position, when the sections are connected. The invention is useful for transferring liquefied natural gas.
Abstract: Mechanism for obtaining a couple for maneuvering a part to make it rotate on itself through a quarter turn, from a member moving along a trajectory, via a transmission such that the curve representing the reduction coefficient, which is the ratio of the maneuvering couple to a nominal couple, shown on the y axis, as a function of the angle of rotation, shown on the x axis, is convex, the curve rotating its convexity upwards and the peak coefficient of reduction being obtained for an angle of about 20 to 40°.
Abstract: Stopcock actuator casing, comprising a base (1) having an underside and formed with a hole (2), the underside of the base being subdivided into at least three compartments (4,8,10), the first (4) of which surrounds the hole (2) and the second (8) and third (10) of which are each formed with two orifices (12,13,14,15) passing through the base (1).
Abstract: Valve with an actuator which consumes power from an energy source and which comprises a device capable of detecting that the actuator is operating the valve, a first sensor for measuring a value representative of the power consumption from the energy source and an electronic circuit connected to the first sensor and to the device so as to compare the value representing the power consumption from the energy source with a reference value, during operation of the valve by the actuator, and provide information on the basis of this comparison.
Abstract: A metal gasket, with a section comprising a heel (16) to ensure static sealing and a curved part (15) to ensure dynamic sealing, wherein the curved part (15) exhibits a variation in its radius of curvature while retaining the same direction of curvature.

Abstract: An actuator including a jack having first and second pistons engaging a control rod, particularly for rotating the shaft of a fraction-of-a-turn plumbing device. The actuator can also include energy storage cartridges and/or damping members placed between the pistons. The energy storage cartridges can engage the first piston on one side and the second piston on the opposite side.
Abstract: A process for the improving the mechanical properties and the sealing properties of elastomer gaskets. The elastomer is prepared by adding to an elastomer composition, at the time of the preparation phase, fibers having an average length on the order of 2 to 12 mm. The elastomer is molded, by injection or by compression transfer, such that the orientation of the fibers in the elastomer is obtained by positioning and orienting of the nozzle or the channel inlets into the mold cavity. The fibers, embedded in the elastomer have an orientation that is, parallel to a surface against which a ridge of the closure device comes into contact and perpendicular to the closure device when the butterfly valve is shut.
Abstract: A pump with a priming circuit containing a valve having a seating with an orifice and an obturator mounted so as to be able to be applied onto the seating in front of the orifice, where the obturator is a resilient blade embedded on one side to the seating. The flexibility of the blade increases from the embedded side to the other. An L-shaped member protrudes from an outer curvilinear wall of a priming element fixed onto the pump. The L-shaped member allows for the seating to be slide into a groove space. The obturator has two holes so that the obturator can be embedded onto the seat by mating with two projections from the seating surface.
