Abstract: The disclosure is related to providing a mobile payment service without revealing an actual payment card number. User equipment may be configured to receive a set of virtual mobile payment card numbers assigned to a mobile payment card, to select one of the received virtual mobile payment card numbers based on a payment initiation time upon generation of a predetermined event, and to transmit a payment request with the selected virtual mobile payment card number and the payment initiation time to the server through at least one of a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and a value-added network (VAN) server.
