  • Patent number: 5396929
Abstract: A body (1) is provided, having at least one conduit designed to be connected to a hot and/or cold water supply, and also a water outflow conduit (4). This body (1) receives a mechanism (2) for controlling the water flow and/or the temperature of the outflowing water. It comprises a cladding (12) surrounding the lateral outer surface of the body (1) and including a sleeve (13) provided with an axial channel (14) ending by a part of a connector (19) designed for fastening a spout.

  • Patent number: 5325885
Abstract: A backflow preventing device located downstream of a water control member of a sanitary fitting comprises a casing defining a cavity which communicates with a water feeding pipe and with an air inlet. Two shutting members are serially mounted and displaceable under the effect of a depression in the water feeding pipe, thereby connecting the water feeding pipe with the open air through the cavity. The two shutting members are composed of deformable membranes having different characteristics. One membrane is thin, supple and is umbrella-shaped, the other is thick and has the shape of a disc.

  • Patent number: 5184777
Abstract: A sanitary shower comprises a handle removably securable to the shower body, a head removably securable to the handle, and a flexible conduit for water supply that passes through the shower body and the handle and is secured to the head. The handle is elongated and has a longitudinal slot therethrough, of a width sufficient to receive the flexible conduit when the head is separated from the handle but the handle remains on the shower body. The head has an inlet and two outlets each communicating with a chamber within the head for dispensing water through the two outlets in two directions, and an obturating member in the head comprising a flap that swings about an axis perpendicular to those two directions and in one position closes one outlet and leaves the other outlet open, and in another position leaves the one outlet open and closes the other outlet against the flow of water from the inlet.

  • Patent number: 4896693
Abstract: A tap cartridge comprises lateral indentations (27, 28) positioned angularly and axially with respect to the body of the cartridge (1) defining with bores (21 to 24) of different diameters of this cartridge (1) wall parts (31, 34) forming on the one hand angular positioning lugs (31) of a ceramic plate which is fixed on said cartridge and on the other hand abutments (34) limiting the angular stroke of a shaft controlling a rotating plate with respect to said cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4826182
Abstract: A sealing ring comprising a resilient ring and a pair of axially spaced coaxial rigid rings secured to the outside of the resilient ring. The rigid rings are spaced from end surfaces of the resilient ring a distance substantially less than the axial extent of a rigid ring. The rigid rings have an axial extent substantially greater than their radial extent. In one embodiment, the resilient ring has on its outer surface an integral annular rib that is disposed between and is in contact with both of the rigid rings, the radially outer surface of the rib being flush with the outer surfaces of the rigid rings. In another embodiment, there is a free space between the rigid rings in the undeformed condition of the resilient ring.

  • Patent number: 4742889
Abstract: The phonic deadening device comprises a cylindrical sleeve (5) with double walls, made of an elastic material and the axial traversing opening of which serves for the passage of the flux of the liquid. Both walls of this sleeve define between them an empty annular space (6), which is closed in a tight manner by an annular sealing element (7). This element further serves to position and to maintain the sleeve in a service position in the conduit.

  • Patent number: 4610393
Abstract: A body (1) presenting inlet openings (2,3) for cold water and hot water and an outlet opening (4) for the mixed water, has a device for regulating the flowrate of at least one of the incoming streams of water and of the mixture of water (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 23, 24) and a device for regulating the temperature (43 to 51) actuated by control members (13, 49). The device for regulating the flow rate (12 to 16, 23, 24) comprises as obturator only one pair of ceramic plates (23, 24) displaceable in rotation the one with respect to the other, the flow rate of and contacting simultaneously only one stream of inlet water and the stream of the outgoing water mixture.
