Publication number: 20230380316Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for remotely adjusting implements with preset profiles are described. A disclosed method for processing a material on a ground surface includes receiving a transmitted monitored set of parameters of the first set of material manipulators and the second set of material manipulators; determining whether the first set of material manipulators or the second set of material manipulators is within a predetermined range of a parameter setpoint; and upon determining the first set of material manipulators or the second set of material manipulators is not within the predetermined range of the parameter setpoint, actuating the first set of actuators to adjust the first set of material manipulators or the second set of actuators to adjust the second set of material manipulators, wherein actuating the first set of actuators or the second set of actuators can be performed independently.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2022Publication date: November 30, 2023Applicant: KUHN KRAUSE, INC.Inventors: Andrew A. Patent number: 10834862Abstract: A disc conditioner to work soil in a forward direction including a main support structure, a secondary support structure that protrudes from the main support structure in the forward direction, a main disc assembly affixed to the main support structure, and a secondary disc assembly that is affixed to the secondary support structure and protrudes from the main disc assembly in the forward direction. The secondary disc assembly generates an oscillating soil and residue flow along a central axis of the disc conditioner that levels the soil.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2018Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: KUHN KRAUSE, INC.Inventors: Tom W. Patent number: 10349571Abstract: A hydraulic circuit for an agricultural implement consisting of a hydraulic cylinder that exerts a force on a component of the implement. A pressure reduction valve located between a hydraulic power source and the hydraulic cylinder maintains pressure to no more than a preset maximum to protect the hydraulic cylinder by routing excess hydraulic fluid back through a hydraulic line into a reservoir. A pressure relief valve with a preset maximum pressure greater than that of the pressure reduction valve is located between the pressure reduction valve and the hydraulic cylinder, and is connected to the reservoir through a dedicated return line. If hydraulic fluid pressure in the circuit increases to greater than the maximum of the pressure reduction valve, hydraulic fluid is diverted back to the reservoir through the pressure relief valve and a dedicated return line.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2015Date of Patent: July 16, 2019Assignee: KUHN KRAUSE, INC.Inventors: Jerome Thomas Fink, Rodney Lee Hagman

Patent number: 10278322Abstract: A system of folding toolbars on an agricultural implement having a base toolbar, two articulating toolbars, multiple attachments to the toolbar, and a pair of hinges, with each toolbar connected to attachments. The base toolbar is located orthogonally to the direction of travel of the agricultural implement and connected to a hinge at each end, the hinges are each further connected to an articulating toolbar. Each of the toolbars is connected to a set of attachments. Each articulating toolbar rotates about the base on a pivot axis along the direction of travel of the agricultural implement and tilted relative to the ground plane, such that the center of gravity (CG) moves forward in the transport position and a normal force is applied to the articulating toolbars to resist vertical movement when in field position.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2015Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: KUHN KRAUSE, INC.Inventors: Thomas W. Ankenman, Jesse Nininger
