  • Patent number: 5111004
Abstract: A stylus formed of a shaft containing pressure sensors and useful in signature verification and in identification of individuals. The pressure sensors are imbedded in and integral with the shaft of the stylus at a predetermined distance from the tip used for writing. The sensors are preferably disposed in an annulus and located in each of four quadrants surrounding the shaft enabling three-axis pressure detection.

  • Patent number: 4640111
Abstract: An improved locking device for a door turnably mounted on a safe or the like apparatus of the type including a numbering lock and a movable plate adapted to carry out locking activity is disclosed. An engagement recess is formed on the lower edge of a movable plate so that a locking bar comes in locking engagement to the recess. The movable plate is operatively connected to a lever plate by way of a slidable pin and a coil spring and the lever plate in turn is operatively connected to an actuating plate adapted to move within a certain extent together with a ratch member turnably supported by the side of the actuating plate under the influence of resilient force of a leaf spring. To allow the ratch member to be projected into the lock case a part of the latter is cut out and a plurality of tumblers are housed in the lock case. One of the tumblers is fitted with an engagement pin to which the ratch member comes in engagement as the actuating plate is displaced in the direction of unlocking.

  • Patent number: 4622456
Abstract: An improved after hour depository of the type including a throw-in door turnably housed in the frame is disclosed. A control panel is disposed on the frame at the position located adjacent to the throw-in door to control turning movement of the throw-in door. A magnetic card is previously allocated to a client by the bank and when he visits there, he inserts his magnetic card into a card insert slit on the control panel. A control circuit having a number of informations concerning all clients stored therein is electrically connected to the control panel. A locking and unlocking apparatus is provided between the frame and the throw-in door to lock or unlock the throw-in door in accordance with command issued from the control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4602150
Abstract: A locking and unlocking device particularly employable for a double lock system such as a bank lock and a client lock is disclosed. To operate the bank lock, a magnetic card specifically allocated to a client is inserted into a casing or cover through a card insert hole until a plurality of magnetized points on the magnetic card are located in alignment with the corresponding permanent magnet pins, which are held in engagement holes on a sliding member or lever. Polarities and coordinate positions of the magnetized points on the magnetic card are previously determined by means of an encoder. The permanent magnet pins are brought in disengagement from the engagement holes under the influence of magnetic repulsive or attractive force developed between the permanent magnet pins and the magnetized points on the magnetic card when the latter is inserted through the card insert hole.

  • Patent number: 4546857
Abstract: An improved conveyor system for a so-called drive-in bank through which cash, deposit slip or the like are safely transferred from the customer station to the teller station and vise versa is disclosed. To assure that each of customers who reach the bank is visually recognized from the teller room a plurality of vertical hollow columns at the customer station are arranged one after another in a spaced relation in the direction of reaching of customers' cars and a plurality of vertical hollow columns at the teller station are centralized in a small area adjacent to the teller room. A plurality of horizontally extending hollow beams are fixedly mounted on the top end parts of the vertical hollow columns at both the customer and teller stations in such a manner that the former are turned by a predetermined angle relative to the latter as seen from the above.

  • Patent number: 4489662
Abstract: A depository includes a frame, a door casing pivotally mounted to the frame for movement between closed and open positions, a movable wall member pivotally mounted to the door casing to permit pivotal movement thereof in response to the door casing being moved between the closed and open positions. A security mechanism is provided so that direction reversal of the pivotal movement of the door casing is prevented by virtue of a pair of ratch members which define a space therebetween and in which a roller moves during pivotal movement of the door casing towards the closed position. A cam surface is defined on one of the ratch members which also has a linkage member pivotally attached thereto so as to be movable between an engaged and disengaged position with respect to the other ratch member.

  • Patent number: 4466357
Abstract: An apparatus for depositing money in a receiving safe of a bank in which a door having a concave rear wall is rotatable between open and closed positions. A movable wall is mounted rotatably with the door to form a pocket with the concave wall when the door is open for receiving a money bag or envelope, the movable wall scraping the concave rear wall as the door rotates to its open position. A pawl is likewise mounted for rotation with the door to engage a ratchet and prevent reopening the door after it begins to close and has rotated to a position where the pocket is inaccessible.
