Abstract: An electronically steerable antenna which refracts an electromagnetic wave travelling through an electrooptic deflector, steers an electromagnetic wave to a desired angle. The electrooptic deflector includes first and second sections of electrooptical material. A voltage changes the indices of refraction of the electrooptical material, thereby causing a change in the angle of refraction at the interface between the first and second sections. Input and output impedance matching sections are provided effecting maximum power transfer of the electromagnetic wave travelling through the antenna.
