Abstract: A device for training a personalized model of a gait cycle configured to generate a gait phase information representative of a state of advancement of a patient in the gait cycle. A device and method for computing a start timepoint and an end timepoint and an intensity of at least one sequence of electrical pulses to apply to at least one of a nerve and a muscle of a patient using at least one pair of electrodes, based on a gait phase information representative of a state of advancement of a patient in the gait cycle obtained using a personalized model of a gait cycle obtained from the device for training.

Abstract: A method for determining a profile of stimulation charge rate for at least one muscle or group of muscles of a subject using the ergometer equipped with a FES system, the profile of stimulation charge rate being specific to the ergometer user. Also, a method for stimulation intervals for at least one muscle or group of muscles of a subject using the ergometer equipped with a FES system. Further, an ergometer, preferably a cyclic ergometer such as an electric stimulation stationary bike, including a FES controller with instructions to operate the method.
