  • Patent number: 4694610
Abstract: A cable window lift for automobiles and similar vehicles. The cable window lift is characterized by the provision of support arms to support the window pane against tilting in the direction of the plane of the window pane, bening symmetrically arranged in V-type manner to the cable section extending in the direction of displacement when seen perpendicularly to the window pane. The two support arms are operationally joined at one end to carry out a common but oppositely directed motion and rest in fixed but rotatable manner on a stationary component. The other ends of the support arms engage guide slots, grooves or the like which are solidly fastened to the window pane. Furthermore, embodiments are provided wherein the spatial configuration is reversed. While gears are preferably cited as the operational connecting means of the support arms, one illustrative embodiment also discloses a scissor-like connection of the support arms.

  • Patent number: 4625504
Abstract: A pitched cable is sheathed over a defined length with a plastic polyamide film. The method includes the steps of slipping a plastic polyamide tube over a pitched cable and affixing this tube to the cable by hammering. An additional procedural step is also described, namely the prior reduction of the outside diameter of the pitched cable, so that with appropriate dimensions of the plastic tube, it is possible to make a plastic sheathing for the pitched cable, with the outside diameter of the plastic tube then being only trivially larger than the outside diameter of the unsheathed cable length.

  • Patent number: 4515035
Abstract: An improved curved cable support member adapted to the ends of the rail guides of a Bowden window lift. This support member (2) comprises at least one projecting first catch means at its side facing the rail guide (1), the projecting catch means is undercut so that a free gap about the material thickness of the guide rail (1) exists between a free-standing lip (3) and the body of the support member, and the free-standing lip (3) is provided at its inside with a beak (4) entering a corresponding clearance (5) in the guide rail when the support member is slipped onto the guide rail and secures the support member against being pulled off the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 4455133
Abstract: An extruder coating die for depositing protective cushions on the plastic jackets of hoses, tubes or the like. The extruder consists of a fixed part and of at least one movable part which can be adjusted between two end positions and combines the following features:(a) the movable part (8b) is rotatable with respect to the fixed part (8a);(b) the fixed and the movable part are provided with ray-shaped inwardly extending arms of which the inside ends extend as far as the hose or tube surface at the jacket material; and(c) the arms of the movable part (8b) are of widths such that in one of the end positions of the movable part they bare the free spaces between the arms of the fixed part and in the other position they cover them.

  • Patent number: 4314692
Abstract: A motor vehicle hoist has a closed rope loop which is driven by a permanent magnet electric motor having a flat housing and a worm with a worm wheel. The worm is fastened to an end of the motor shaft which extends into an adjacent gear box, and turns a rope drum. The motor stator includes an axially oriented, magnetically nonconductive frame, which holds the rotor and at least one permanent magnet and which supports housing halves which serve, on both sides, as pole pieces. The worm wheel and rope drum are rotatably mounted on a common axis in the gear box. The motor is useful for opening windows, doors, and sliding roofs of vehicles.
