Abstract: A baler includes a chamber having a fixed size that receives crops and houses a formed bale. A tailgate is connected to a frame and is movable between a closed position, for cooperating with the frame to delimit the chamber, and an open position, for discharging the formed bale. A conveying assembly delimits the chamber for imparting a rotating movement to the crops contained in the chamber, and has a first portion provided in the frame and a second portion provided in the tailgate. An actuator includes a closing chamber and moves the tailgate from the open position to the closed position upon receiving an actuating fluid in the closing chamber. A binder binds the formed bale, and a pressure sensor detects a control signal representative of a pressure inside the closing chamber of the actuator. A control unit generates an alert signal as a function of the control signal.

Abstract: The present disclosure refers to a method for operating a round baler. The method comprises providing a nonstop baler type machine; controlling a feeding mechanism for feeding of crop into a prechamber and a main bale forming chamber by a control system of the baler; in a feeding operation, feeding the crop through a first feeding channel into the prechamber; and switching the feeding operation by the control system, thereby, stopping feeding the crop into the prechamber and starting feeding the crop through a second feeding channel into a main bale forming chamber of the baler. The control system is configured to switch the feeding operation in response to a binding material parameter reaching a predetermined parameter value, the binding material provided for wrapping a bale formed in the main bale forming chamber. At least one first support includes at least one support pin, which is coupled to a first portion of the deck and moved, in a corresponding guiding slot, by a corresponding actuator. The safety device includes a stop element, which can be associated functionally with a kinematic transmission chain interposed between a motor assembly of a working shaft and the working shaft itself to control the working shaft with the complementary stop element. The stop element is movable on command from a passive configuration to an active configuration, in which the stop element is arranged so as to interfere with the trajectory of the complementary stop element, for the forced locking of the latter and of the working shaft, and vice versa.
