Abstract: A system for identifying and blocking trolls on social networks includes an identifier module that continuously scans a social media platform (SMP) to detect that a user of the SMP is a troll; a monitor module that includes a list of definitions against which the troll's fingerprints are matched; a grader module that assigns a trollness grade to the troll; a delimiter module that injects UXRs (user experience retardants) through an Application Programming Interface of the SMP based on the trollness grade from the grade module; and a retardant library that includes a list of human-defined UXRs.
