  • Patent number: 7005784
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to prevent not only cracking but also blocking of an electrode layer 20 and an electrically insulating layer 30, particularly the electrically insulating layer 30, which is formed on a base film 10. An electrode apparatus comprises a base film 10 for defining a recess 50 at the inner periphery of a bending part 500, and an electrode layer 20 and an electrically insulating layer 30 which are pattern formed on the base film 10. The electrode layer 20 crosses the bending part 500 from the inside of the recess 50 to the outside. The electrically insulating layer 30 covers the upper part of the electrode layer 20 in the vicinity of the bending part 500. A resin composition obtained by admixing a low Tg resin having a glass transition temperature equal to 25 degrees C. or lower and a high Tg resin having a higher glass transition temperature (for example, 40 degrees C. or higher) than that of the low Tg resin is used as a dielectric of the electrically insulating layer 30.

  • Patent number: 6203951
Abstract: A reflection-type color filter (30) is disclosed, in which light coming into one surface of a color filter layer (36) is reflected by a reflective layer (40) and allowed to pass through the color filter layer (36) twice. Colored patterns of the color filter layer (36) include resin such as polyimide and dye for dyeing the resin. The thickness of the colored patterns is 0.7 &mgr;m or less. In order to enhance light resistance, it is effective to increase the content of dye with respect to resin. The value of 0.7 &mgr;m is established in consideration of enhancement of optical characteristic and light resistance of the color filter used in the reflection type liquid crystal display device. In order to enhance light resistance, more preferably, a metal complex is added to the resin.

  • Patent number: 6001518
Abstract: A reversible heat-sensitive recording medium has a substrate where a reversible heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer are successively formed on top of it. The reversible heat-sensitive recording layer is formed by a reversible heat-sensitive recording material including a leuco dye and a color developing/reducing agent. The color developing/reducing agent is a combination of two kinds of color developing/reducing agents, one with a high color developing ability and the other with high image preservation and stabilization capabilities. The two agents are combined at a ratio between 1:4 to 4:1. Thus a reversible heat-sensitive recording material with a fine color developing ability and high image preservation and stabilization capabilities can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5378887
Abstract: In a non-contact type IC card, a re-access inhibition time setting circuit 12 sets a re-access inhibition period of time for inhibiting the re-access for a fixed period of time after an operation of a main circuit 16 is finished. This prevents a double write operation of history in the card due to the re-access in a short period of time. Moreover, two areas 321 and 322 are disposed in a memory 32 to write data alternately in these areas. In a read operation, when data of one of the areas is destroyed, the normal data in the other area is read; whereas, when each data is normal, the data last recorded is read. Consequently, the disabled state of the read operation due to wrong data can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5292616
Abstract: A technique of an optical card having high information recording density. A specially superior writing characteristic is required for an additional recording optical card among optical cards. In the case where the optical card of additional recording type is closed, reduction in the writing characteristic is observed. In this invention, a sensitizing layer (50), which serves as escape for molten recording material at writing, is provided in rear of an optical recording section (30), so that an optical card is produced which is superior in both environmental resistance and writing ability. The sensitizing layer (50) is made of self-oxidizable or thermoplastic resin and an absorbing agent dispersed in the resin. The absorbing agent cooperates with the resin not only to improve a writing characteristic, but also to improve design ability and reading ability of the card.
