Formation occurs in multiple stages in the axial direction of the tube by connecting using connecting legs (6) for successively connecting one side of the first projecting part and the other side of the second projecting part where the first and second projecting parts successively alternate. Elastic displacement parts (9) for performing elastic displacement by applying a pressing force to the tube are formed in the middle of the connecting legs successively connecting the first and second projecting parts of the tube-forming elements.

    Abstract: Present invention is a stent apparatus wherein a stent covering member holds a stent, which scaffolds a blood vessel from the inside when implanted in the blood vessel, in contracted state. The stent is formed of a biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) as a tubular shape, shape memorized to a size capable of, when implanted in a vessel, scaffolding the blood vessel from the inside. This stent is held by the stent covering member in contracted state and mounted on a balloon of a balloon. The covering member is formed of a biodegradable polymer having elasticity as a cylindrical shape having an inner diameter to keep the stent in contracted state and, when the stent is expanded to the shape memorized shape, plastically deformed to release the holding of the stent. The stent and the stent covering member disappear in a vessel after they are implanted in the vessel.

    Abstract: A catheter apparatus comprising a catheter and a sheath are provided. The catheter has a distal end to which an insertion guiding member is attached, provided at its distal end with a balloon to expand a vascular stent, and provided with an expansion medium supplying channel for supplying an expansion medium to inflate the balloon and with a guide wire insertion channel for inserting a guide wire. The sheath is operated to move relative to the catheter between the section where it is covering the balloon attaching the vascular stent and the section where it is supposed to expose the vascular stent attached to the balloon. A first movement restrictor and a second movement restrictor are provided, thereby restricting movable position such that excessive movement of the sheath is restricted, injuring of a blood vessel is prevented and the stent is implanted to a desired site in a blood vessel.

The stent holding member includes a tubular holding member formed of an elastic material. The holder has a groove in its outer peripheral portion for holding one or more supporting struts making up the stent. Each of these supporting struts is embedded at least partially in the groove to hold the stent. The groove has its opening end side expanded by expansion of the holder along the radial direction. By expansion of the opened end of the groove, the stent held in the groove is dilated and released from the holder.
