    Abstract: An ink jet recording medium having an ink receiving layer formed on a substrate, wherein an ink fixing agent contained in the ink receiving layer is a serpentine compound containing at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Mg and Zn, and an ink fixing agent which comprises a serpentine compound containing at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Mg and Zn and is used in the ink jet recording medium. According to the present invention, an ink jet recording medium having excellent ink absorptivity (color development, resolution) and excellent water resistance and light resistance for an image recorded on the medium can be provided by using a serpentine compound as an ink fixing agent. That is, according to the present invention, there can be provided an ink jet recording medium which is best suited for recording with a water/oil ink, can record a high-definition image at a high reproducibility and has excellent keeping properties, especially water resistance and light resistance.

    Abstract: An antacid and laxative tablet comprising magnesium oxide particles as an effective component, wherein (i) the magnesium oxide particles contained in the tablet have an average secondary particle diameter measured by a laser diffraction scattering method of 0.5 to 10 ?m, (ii) the content of magnesium oxide particles in the tablet is 88 wt % or more, (iii) the tablet does not become blackish and has substantially no tableting spot, and (iv) the disintegration time is 10 sec or less. The antacid and laxative tablet of the present invention has a high content of magnesium oxide particles, a short disintegration time, does not become blackish, has no tablet trouble and no tableting spot and is suitably administered orally.

    Abstract: The coloring problem of a conventional molded article is overcome while retaining the advantages of high strength and high flame retardancy of the molded article when a metal hydroxide is used in combination with red phosphorus and carbon powder in the method of imparting a synthetic resin with flame retardancy. The molded article can be colored in any color and exhibits decreased lowering of electric insulation resistance when submerged. The molded article comprises a base material colored from dark red to black containing 100 wt parts synthetic resin, 5-200 wt parts metal hydroxide, 1-30 wt parts red phosphorus and 0.1-30 wt parts carbon powder; and a skin layer laminated thereon masking a colored surface of the base wherein the skin layer contains 100 wt parts, 0-100 wt parts pigment, and 0-200 wt parts metal hydroxide, provided that the total amount of pigment and metal hydroxide in the skin layer is at least 0.001 wt parts.

Since the resin composition of the present invention has excellent flame retardancy, heat conductivity and water resistance, it is advantageously used as a material for sealing a heat generating electronic member such as a semiconductor.
