  • Patent number: 7219947
Abstract: A sun visor for a vehicle is provided that can prevent an extendable plate from being removed from the sun visor body. In a sun visor for a vehicle in which an extendable plate (40) is mounted within a sun visor body (20) such that the extendable plate can be drawn out, a removal-preventing member (55) protruding in an inclined configuration is formed on one side surface of the extendable plate. Conversely, a removal preventing recess (52) is formed within the sun visor body (22) for engaging with a tip end portion of the removal-preventing member and for preventing the extendable plate from being removed. A recess wall surface on one side of the removal-preventing recess is formed as an inclined surface (53) for guiding the tip end portion of the removal-preventing member in a wedging direction into the removal-preventing recess.

  • Patent number: 7192075
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sun visor for a vehicle and a method of manufacturing the sun visor. The structure of the sun visor is complicated and the cost thereof is increased when an elastically compressive elastic body is installed between both first and second core split bodies of a core body to prevent the wrinkles from occurring in the vicinity of the corner fused parts of the skins. In view of the above problem, an object of the present invention is to prevent wrinkles from occurring near the corner fused parts of skins with a relatively simple structure. In the present invention, a corner tension part, for preventing the displacement of the corner fused part toward the corner part of the core body, is disposed between the corner part of the core body and the core fused part of the skins.

  • Patent number: 7144062
Abstract: A vehicle sun visor includes a visor body, a horizontal rod mounted to the visor body, and a support arm. The support arm has a vertical rod and is rotatably mounted to a vehicle cabin ceiling. A bearing is mounted to one end of the vertical rod and rotatably receives the horizontal rod, so that the visor body can pivot about an axis of the vertical rod and can also pivot about an axis of the horizontal rod. A stopper mechanism prevents the visor body from moving in a first direction along the axis of the horizontal rod but permits the visor body to move in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The first direction is a direction used for inserting the horizontal rod of the visor body into the horizontal bore of the bearing.
