Patent number: 10477985Abstract: A refrigeration display case for refrigerating and displaying perishable goods includes a plurality of evaporator coils for cooling air, a display case frame forming a display area, and a coil cover for at least substantially covering a portion of the plurality of evaporator coils and coupled to the display case frame. The coil cover includes a planar member having a living hinge formed in the planar member extending from a first side end to a second end and defining a first portion of the planar member and a second portion of the planar. The living hinge is configured to allow movement between the first portion of the planar member and the second portion of the planar member. Other embodiments and designs are included.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2016Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: Kysor Warren EPTA US CorporationInventors: Chera Selvan Neelagantan, Michael Smith, Vinod Kunchala

Patent number: 10429122Abstract: A refrigeration system includes a first circulation fan electrically coupled to a power source via a first load wire. A relay is electrically coupled to the first circulation fan via a second load wire and to the power source. In an open position, the relay interrupts electrical voltage from the relay to the first circulation fan via the second load wire causing the first circulation fan to operate in a low-speed mode. In a closed position, the relay supplies electrical voltage to the first circulation fan via the second load wire causing the first circulation fan to operate in a high-speed mode. Operation of the first circulation fan in the high-speed mode reduces a defrost cycle time associated with the refrigeration system relative to operation of the first circulation fan in low-speed mode.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2017Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: Kysor Warren EPTA US CorporationInventors: Jose Ramon Guerrero Gutierrez, Chandrashekhara Chikkakalbalu

Patent number: 10383459Abstract: Display cases may include deflectors and fans. The deflectors may alter air currents generated by fans to provide an air current to display portions of the display case. In some implementations, the altered air current may have a first portion with a velocity that is greater than a velocity of a second portion, where the first portion is closer to a display portion of the display case.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2017Date of Patent: August 20, 2019Assignee: Kysor Warren EPTA US CorporationInventors: Kapil Das Sahu, Michael J.
