  • Patent number: 8436621
Abstract: A pH measurement system using a glass pH sensor includes a power supply applying a voltage to the glass pH sensor through a resistor; a detector detecting the output voltage of the glass pH sensor; and a calculator calculating the pH of a solution based on the detected output voltage. The resistor provides a resistance of at least ten times less than the equivalent internal resistance of the glass pH sensor. The pH measurement system can improve the response rate by reducing the time constant depending on the dynamic characteristics of the glass pH sensor, and it is possible to diagnose whether the pH measurement system is defective or not by calculating the equivalent internal resistance and the supply voltage of the glass pH sensor.

  • Patent number: 8231520
Abstract: The present invention relates to a round window driving transducer for easy implantation and an implantable hearing device having the same. The round window driving transducer is implantable in the round window of the cochlea in the middle ear cavity, and has excellent high frequency characteristics, which can assist patients with sensorineural hearing loss to hear sound better. The round window driving transducer can be placed inside the middle ear cavity, radiate sound with high efficiency, and be implanted by surgery using a fixing part formed with shape memory alloy, shape memory resin, or a bendable spring structure. Further, the round window driving transducer can overcome problems of the prior art, such as a difficult surgery and low vibration efficiency, which would inevitably occur when floating mass transducers are implanted in a drilled groove in the bone or when various types of piezoelectric transducers are implanted in the round window.

  • Patent number: 8216123
Abstract: An implantable middle ear hearing device having a tubular vibration transducer to drive a round window is designed to input sound to a round window opposite an oval window in an inner ear. The tubular vibration transducer has a unique structure that does not attenuate the magnitude of a signal, particularly, in a high frequency band. Sound delivery effect is much higher than those of conventional schemes. It is also possible to minimize difficulties associated with and problems resulting from the operation, which the conventional methods would have. Further, the transducer can have a relatively less compact than ossicle contact type transducers, and thus be easily fabricated. The hearing device can be applied to a sensorineural hearing loss patient with the ossicle damaged. Moreover, since sound is directly transmitted without through the ear drum and the ossicle, high efficiency sound delivery is achievable and hearing loss compensation are easy.

  • Patent number: 8154735
Abstract: In an apparatus for measuring a quasi-static error of a rotation driving shaft, a positional error and an angular error in each of X, Y, and Z axis directions during rotation of a driving shaft is measured by means of a single measurement apparatus. In the apparatus, a first splitter, a second splitter, and a reflector spectrally output or reflect a laser beam, which is output from a laser driving device, to a first position sensor and a second position sensor, so that it is possible to obtain every error information on positional errors and angular errors in X, Y, and Z axis directions of a rotation driving shaft through input position change data of the inputted laser beam.

  • Publication number: 20110218780
Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating error in a multi-axis controlled machine is applicable to any type of machine configuration in order to estimate and confirm in advance the final position and the posture of the machine, which are produced when geometric errors of the machine are synthesized. The method includes defining the structure of the multi-axis controlled machine subjected to error estimation; and defining parameters, which represent behaviors of drive axes having geometric error and relationships between the drive axes according to the defined structure of the multi-axis controlled machine, adding the defined parameters by applying the parameters to a generalized error synthesis model, and generating an error synthesis model of the multi-axis controlled machine by applying a result of parametric modeling in response to a result of the adding.

  • Patent number: 7925362
Abstract: An autotuning method using an integral of a relay feedback response is disclosed, which obtains an ultimate data and frequency model of a process with greatly removing effects of harmonics by using integral of a relay feedback signal. The autotuning method using an integral of a relay feedback response comprises the first step for integrating a process data; and the second step for removing effects of harmonics after the first step and computing an ultimate gain, a frequency model and a parametric process model.
