    Abstract: An object is to improve safety. Provided is a power storage system including a battery apparatus 1; a power converter 2 provided between the battery apparatus 1 and a load 3 and that can control power supplied from the battery apparatus 1 to the load 3; and a battery monitoring circuit 4 that detects an abnormality in the battery apparatus 1. When an abnormality in the battery apparatus 1 is detected by the battery monitoring circuit 4, the power converter 2 supplies power stored in the battery apparatus 1 to the load 3 or to an internally provided internal load at or below a current value or power value that is set in advance, or alternatively, at a current value or power value that the load 3 demands, within a range that does not exceed an upper limit that is set in advance.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a mercury removal system and method for effectively removing a mercury component, which is present in a gas stream in an extremely small amount in wet gas cleaning used for coal or heavy oil gasification, petroleum refining and the like. The mercury removal system in wet gas cleaning comprises a water washing tower for introducing therein a target gas containing a mercury component and transferring the mercury component into an absorbing solution, a flush drum (10) for flushing the absorbing solution discharged from the water washing tower to separate the absorbing solution into a gas component and waste water, an oxidation treatment means (1) for adding an oxidizing agent to the absorbing solution at the preceding stage of the flush drum, and a waste water treatment means for subjecting to coagulation sedimentation treatment the separated waste water containing the mercury component at the following stage of the flush drum to dispose of the mercury component as sludge.

    Abstract: A lightening countermeasure for overhead power lines guards against breaking of wire and momentary service interruption without using any ZnO device. A lightening arrester body for an overhead power line includes a double-folded insulated wire which is insulated to a same extent as that of a power cable. A conductor-exposed side of the lightening arrester body is connected to an insulator-earthing side, and an insulating cover side is disposed on a discharge electrode side provided to an overhead power line. A needle electrode of the discharge electrode penetrates the insulating cover of the overhead power line. Where the overhead power line is bare wire, the conductor-exposed side of the arrester body is connected to the insulator-earthing side, and the insulator cover side is connected to the overhead power line.

The power source unit includes a main power source connected to input terminals of a current control circuit, such as insulation type power transfer circuit. The other terminal of the main power source is connected to a terminal of a parallel connection of a secondary power source and an electric power unit. The other terminal of the parallel connection is connected with a second output terminal of the current control circuit. Hence, energy from the main power source is transferred to the parallel connection of the secondary power source and electric power unit under the control of the current control circuit.

    Abstract: A suspension type transporter suspends a bolt drawing machine through a trolley and a hoist above a pressure container having many bolt attached thereto and transports the bolt drawing machine to a target position. A track settling portion having a guide is provided on an outer periphery of a lid of the pressure container. The suspension type transporter for the bolt drawing machine comprises a guide mechanism which restricts movement of the bolt drawing machine in the air by the guide. The guide mechanism of the transporter is provided with a position detector which can detect a position of the bolt drawing machine. A positioning controller of the suspension type transporter controls the transporter so that the transporter starts at slow speed, is then accelerated to a prescribed speed and is gradually decelerated near the target position.
