Abstract: A surface protection composition forms a uniform film, and a terminal fitted electric wire coated with the composition, the composition containing (a) a phosphorus compound represented by the formula (1) in an amount of 0.1 to 10 mass % in terms of phosphorus element, (b) a metal-containing compound in an amount of 0.1 to 10 mass % in terms of metal element or an amine compound in an amount of 0.1 to 5.0 mass % in terms of nitrogen element, (c) a (meth)acrylate compatible with a solvent with a solubility parameter of 8.2 or lower and has a hydrocarbon chain with 4 or higher carbon atoms in an amount of 1.0 to 70 mass %, and (d) at least one of a photopolymerization initiator and a thermal polymerization initiator in an amount of 0.1 to 10 mass %, with respect to the total amount of the composition.
