  • Publication number: 20100068791
Abstract: The present invention is a method for fermentation of algae or algaefaction method. The method includes feeding a hydrocarbon composition into a gasifier and pre-heating a biomass stream from a fermentation reactor. The biomass stream includes a liquid portion, a catalyst, and a biomass solids portion ranging between 15-92% by weight ofthe biomass stream. The biomass solids portion is algae or algal solids. The biomass stream is pre-heated to a temperature range between 200° F. and 500° F. Both the syngas and the pre-heated biomass stream are injected as a mixture into a reactor, where the mixture is separated into a gas component, liquid component, and solids component. The solids component is algal crude, which can be collected for processing as transportation fuels. The gas component is a lower temperature syngas, which can also be collected for processing as electricity or transportation fuels.

  • Patent number: 6527994
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing artificial acrylic marble of wave/wood patterns by use of an apparatus comprising a rotational body and a liquid resin feeder. The liquid resin feeder comprises at least two liquid resin inlets, a single liquid resin outlet, and a mobile molding belt. The rotational body has a rotating shaft with a plurality of spaced wings and is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise in the partially intermixed liquid resins on the mobile molding belt to form a wave/wood pattern while the liquid resins are cured. The wings are fixed along the shaft of the rotating body and alternately approach the bottom and the top of the liquid resins on the belt during the rotation of the rotating body. Thus, the artificial acrylic marble is provided with new patterns like wood and wave patterns and can be aesthetically harmonized with wood materials.

  • Patent number: 6096132
Abstract: An automatic painting device wherein control for driving spray gun heads in a Z axis direction is executed correctly with respect to a surface to be painted having a curved shape so that painting can be effected while keeping a constant interval between the plurality of spray gun heads and the surface to be painted. The automatic painting device can include a spray gun head unit holding a plurality of spray gun heads, an X axis direction driving mechanism for driving the spray gun head unit in a horizontal X axis direction, and a Y axis direction driving mechanism for driving the spray gun head unit in a Y axis direction perpendicular thereto, and in which different paints are ejected by the plurality of spray gun heads. The different spray gun heads are held by the spray gun head unit movably in a Z axis direction perpendicular to the x axis direction and the Y axis direction, independently from each other.
