Abstract: An implant system for use in orthopaedic surgery for fixation of bone includes an intramedullary nail and a coupling member. The intramedullary nail includes a proximal portion defining a longitudinal axis. The proximal portion includes an axial bore defining an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the proximal portion and a transverse bore configured to receive a bone fastener. The coupling member includes a through hole and is movably arranged within the axial bore of the proximal portion. Further, the coupling member includes a drive portion and a bone fastener engagement portion. The drive portion is in one variant non-rotatably coupled to the bone fastener engagement portion. The bone fastener engagement portion is configured to engage the bone fastener penetrating the transverse bore. In one variant the engagement is realized via an extended contact region.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for interfacing disparate partner systems to a transaction account issuer system is disclosed. A Web server receives a request from a disparate partner system, such as a Web service, a portal and/or a partner microsite and an application server extracts a partner identifier from the request. In turn, a delegate engine delegates actions corresponding to the request to one or more handlers using predetermined rules associated with the partner identifier. A worker manager manages worker code blocks which perform the actions based on a subset of the predetermined rules associated with the partner identifier. The Web server then communicates an outcome to the partner system based on the actions performed by the worker code blocks.

Abstract: The present invention provides a skin care product comprising whole egg, an emollient substance and a humectant substance, colostrum, lactoferrin and/or methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM).
Abstract: Wood cellulose is treated with a reactive silicate. The reaction is done to cellulose within the wood and may be catalyzed with acid or base catalysts or a carbon silicon halogen combination which produces in situ acid catalysts or a different combination to produce an in situ base catalyst which replaces some of the molecules or atoms within the cellulose structure with silicon, boron or other hydrophobic or anti-degrading agents. Preferably an organic solvent, such as alcohol is used to accelerate the reaction with the water in the wood. Here, the hydroxyl (OH) group on some or all of the cellulose molecules is partially replaced with silicon or an alternative atom or molecule to changes the character of the wood. The process may be modified to insert a preliminary step of adding a reactive agent to be locked into the wood. Manufacturing techniques to enhance the process using ultrasound or other wave generating techniques are also taught.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing container board having a corrugated medium and at least one liner formed thereon for folding which comprises a tool for displacing in a non-destructive manner the corrugated medium and the liner in a portion of the board to form a curved indentation therein. The device includes a separate tool for forming a line of weakness in the liner along the curved indentation portion of the board. This arrangement increases the dimensional accuracy of the container board by substantially eliminating the occurrences of “false” score lines or rolling scores.
