Abstract: The invention relates to a composition comprising at least one oxidation coupler chosen from 6-hydroxybenzomorpholine of formula (I), one of its addition salts, its solvates and/or the solvates of its salts, at least one oxidation coupler chosen from 2-amino-5-ethylphenol of formula (II), one of its addition salts, its solvates and/or the solvates of its salts, at least one oxyethylenated C8-C30 fatty acid ester of sorbitan, and at least one C8-C30 fatty acid. The invention also relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres, preferably the hair, comprising the application of the composition to said keratin fibres.

Abstract: The instant disclosure is drawn to methods for reducing frizz and increasing smoothness of hair. The methods comprise applying a hair treatment composition to hair in need of reduced frizz or increased smoothness, the composition comprising: (a) from about 5% to about 50% by weight of at least one acyclic carbonate ester having a plurality of C6-C18 fatty chains; and (b) a liquid vehicle. The hair is subsequently subjected to a heat treatment, wherein the heat treatment heats the hair to a temperature of at least 150° C. The methods generally result in hair having improved attributes including one or more of hair fiber alignment, reduced frizz, and smoothness.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes treatment of the vasculature of a patient with an expandable implant. Abstract: A microporous biocomposite that is suitable for surgical implantation in an avascular environment is provided. The microporous biocomposite includes (1) a polymer scaffold having a thickness less than about 100 ?m and nodal structures that extend to at least one surface of the polymer scaffold and (2) a hydrophilic coating on the polymer scaffold. In some embodiments, the porous scaffold is a microporous biomaterial with nodal structures that extend from a first surface to a second surface of the microporous biomaterial. The hydrophilic coating may be a node and fibril coating. The microporous biocomposite allows for the integration and sustained viability of epithelial cells on the surface thereof as well as tissue integration and the internal colonization of the biomaterial with other cell types, such as keratocytes and fibroblasts. In at least one embodiment, the microporous biocomposite may be incorporated into an artificial corneal implant or in other avascular mesoplants.
