Abstract: A system and method are provided for sorting and recovery of recyclable materials, and in particular, sorting and recovery of recyclable materials from mixed waste comprising municipal solid waste in a materials recovery facility. A fluffer can be used to re-size and liberate the incoming materials to a suitable size for further processing in size screen equipment and subsequent downstream separation. The fluffer can re-size the material to a size of approximately 20 inches or larger, plus/minus a few inches, whereby reducing the material to a smaller size would impact the splits in subsequent downstream equipment.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method of accurately reproducing a color of a mixed product is provided. A color management computing system receives one or more inputs indicative of a target color. The color management computing system transmits a command to a product mixing device to dispense color component products to be mixed to create a mixed product of a first color. The color management computing system obtains an image that includes the mixed product. The color management computing system updates a display color correction profile based on a comparison of a captured color of the mixed product in the image to the target color. The color management computing system presents one or more instances on a display device of an adjusted target color indicative of the updated display color correction profile, in response to receiving a subsequent request to change the target color.

Abstract: A remote data replication facility includes a primary storage array and a backup storage array, on which tracks of data are replicated from the primary storage array to the backup storage array as they are received by the primary storage array. Remote data verification is implemented on the remote data replication facility by comparing track fingerprints, track temporal write metadata, and track spatial write metadata, for a given track on the primary storage array, with corresponding track fingerprints, track temporal write metadata, and track spatial write metadata, for the given track on the backup storage array. If any difference is determined in the combination of track fingerprints, track temporal write metadata, track spatial write metadata, for a given track, the integrity of the data at the backup storage array is not verified for the track.
