Abstract: Example systems and related methods for adjusting a backlight of a display based on a position of a viewer are disclosed. In an example, the system includes a display including an outer surface, and a backlight assembly to emit light in a direction that is perpendicular to the outer surface. In addition, the system includes a controller coupled to the backlight. The controller to adjust a brightness of light emitted from a first portion of the backlight assembly relative to a brightness of light emitted from a second portion of the backlight assembly to provide a substantially uniform brightness for the display at a position of the viewer relative to the display.

Abstract: A model vehicle with body mount components are provided. A tongue member attached to a model vehicle body with a first and second tongue member is configured to engage a first securing member attached to a model vehicle chassis. A top surface of the second tongue member draws the model vehicle body towards the model vehicle chassis when the second tongue member engages the first securing member. A lever member with a lever handle, jaw clamp, and a lever pivot is configured to pivot between an engage and an unengaged position. The jaw clamp engages with a second securing member in the engaged position. The lever member further contains a retaining mechanism that is configured to rotate between a retained and unretained position. The retaining mechanism inhibits the lever handle from moving from the engaged to the unengaged position when the retaining mechanism is in the retained position.

Abstract: Many users have presence information on more than one system. Maintaining such systems may be burdensome and error prone. By automatically parsing an out-of-office message on a first system (e.g., email) for configuring a second system (e.g., telephony) duplicative work may be avoided as one system configures the other system. Accordingly, an out-of-office text message may be automatically parsed to determine attributes (e.g., start/end of absence) and who to contact for certain issues. The email system may then automatically configure a telephony system to provide voice prompts extracted from the email system and the opportunity for a caller to be routed to delegates telephone numbers based on the delegates identified in the email out-of-office message.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium that the processor may execute to determine whether a token is to be printed printed onto the medium, following printing onto the medium in a printing system, cause a scan bar in a media feed path of the printing system to capture an image of the printed medium. The processor may also determine, from the captured image of the printed medium, whether the token was properly printed onto the printed medium and, based on a determination that the token was not properly printed onto the printed medium, output an indication and/or an instruction corresponding to the token being improperly printed.

Abstract: A storage system management application receives reports describing operation of a storage system from a performance monitoring system, and compares the storage system operating metrics against a set of respective thresholds. If the metrics breach one or more thresholds, the seasonality boundaries for the respective metric are calculated, and an alert is only generated if the storage system operating metric is both outside the performance threshold and outside of the calculated seasonality boundaries. By determining the seasonality boundaries and using the seasonality boundaries to determine when to generate alerts, it is possible to reduce the number of alerts generated. By including the seasonality values in the alerts, the deviation from normal seasonably operating conditions can be determined from the alert, thus enabling a person who receives the alert to determine the magnitude of deviation of the storage system operation from seasonably adjusted normal operation.
