When the wand is collapsed, the wand and the sensor head collapse to fill a volume that is smaller than a volume filled by the sensor head and the wand when the wand is extended. Frequency-domain data from a sensor configured to sense a region is accessed, the frequency-domain data is transformed to generate a time-domain representation of the region, a first model is determined based on the accessed frequency-domain data, a second model is determined based on the generated time-domain representation, the second model being associated with a particular region within the sensed region, and a background model that represents a background of the region is determined based on the first model and the second model.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a radio network controller (RNC) facilitates a communication session for a wireless device in soft handover with an active set of cells. The active set of cells includes a serving cell (which provides an HS-DSCH connection) and a plurality of non-serving cells. The RNC attempts to admit the HS-DSCH connection in a first non-serving cell that satisfies each of one or more HS-DSCH cell change requirements and provides the best signal strength to the wireless device. If a failure occurs, the RNC attempts to admit the HS-DSCH connection in a second non-serving cell that satisfies each of the HS-DSCH cell change requirements and provides the second best signal strength to the wireless device. If successful, the RNC facilitates moving the HS-DSCH connection from the serving cell to the second non-serving cell.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for retrieving information from printed documents and dumping it into formatted documents like forms or templates; the method is mainly aimed to portable and autonomous electronic portable devices furnished with capture means like cameras; therefore the invention is meant but not limited to its implementation in smartphones. The computer implement method of the invention allows the direct dump of data present on printed documents to a computer system in order to use that data to fill formatted forms or documents, so the user can easily fill forms, more specifically tax or financial forms, in a direct way. It is worth mentioning that the whole method is carried out in the autonomous electronic portable device.

A two-way communication link is configured to deliver the first set of images to the second display system for display and deliver the second set of images to the first display system for display. The second display system is configured to generate a substantially life-sized 3D display of the first person based on the first set of images.

The instrumented shell includes a shell body, instruments and an interconnector. The shell body is positionable about the top drive assembly, and has pockets extending therein and a cover positionable about the shell body. The instruments include sensors, and are removably disposable in the pocket and sealable therein with the at least one cover.
