Abstract: A porous surgical implant constructed of a nonbiodegradable polymer that is molded to form an omnidirectional vascularization frame. The frame defines a porous external surface and a plurality of internal longitudinally extending capillaries of a substantially constant porosity throughout the implant. The internal capillaries are in fluid communication with the external porous surface and thereby configured to absorb a fluid adjacent the implant.
