  • Patent number: 4747138
Abstract: Method of scrambling television pictures for which the video signals of each scanning line are of the M.A.C. type, that is to say time-division multiplexing of the analog chrominance and luminance components, characterized in that on transmission the components are each divided, in each line, one after the other, into two consecutive signals C and D, on the one hand, and F and G, on the other hand, the first signal C and F of which are then delayed for the duration of the second signal, and the second signals D and G are advanced for the duration of the first signals, the reference periods B and E which precede these respective components being excluded from this processing operation, the positions of the dividing points being derived from pseudo-random digital sequences, and the processing operation being intended to be applied on reception in the opposite sense for the simultaneous recovery of the luminance signal Y and the color difference signals U and V.

  • Patent number: 4659875
Abstract: System for the secret transmission of audio signals having at one end a coding arrangement comprising an input low-pass filter which selects the secret audio signals to be transmitted, two parallel signal paths at the output of this filter, each path having a modulator of the phase-inverting type and a further low-pass filter, a stage for generating two modulation signals of the frequencies F.sub.1 and F.sub.2 and a first change-over switch which alternately switches through the output of the two paths in dependence of the state of a binary quasi-random signal, the encoded audio signals to be transmitted being available at the output of the change-over switch, and in which at the other end there is a decoding arrangement comprising a stage for regenerating the modulation signals of the said frequencies F.sub.1 and F.sub.

  • Patent number: 4649419
Abstract: A pseudo-random binary address generator is described which is designed for supplying addresses of cutting points of video signals for the purpose of encoding these signals by rotation of the two segments situated on either side of each cutting point, comprising three feedback registers (A), (B), (C) whose generating polynomials are irreducible and primitive, and in which the numbers of cells are different. These registers comprise several outputs a.sub.i b.sub.j c.sub.k, and the addresses of the cutting points are sums of N terms of weight 2.sup.O to 2.sup.N-1 and of coefficients S.sub.O to S.sub.N-1 of which at least a certain number are deduced from logic equations combining the outputs a.sub.i b.sub.j c.sub.k.

  • Patent number: 4467357
Abstract: System for digitizing and processing video signals incorporating a circuit (14) for separating the line synchronizing signals from an input video signal, a digital store for this input video signal, a write control circuit (18) for writing the input video signal into the store, a circuit (12) for processing the signals stored in the store and a read control circuit (22) for reading from the store and regaining an output video signal. This system includes a self-contained clock circuit formed by an oscillator (20) whose output signal is conveyed to the write control circuit (18), the read control circuit (22) and a delay counter (21), which gives the line synchronizing signal a delay which is equal to an integral number of times the line period, the output signal of the circuit (14) being conveyed to the read control circuit (22) after having passed through the counter (21).

  • Patent number: 4336413
Abstract: The invention concerns a photovoltaic generating panel easily adaptable to a roof. The panel is equipped with a peripheral frame formed by the assembly of straight light alloy shapes. The particular form of these shapes makes possible the laying of adjacent panels with overlapping of the edges of the latter.
