  • Patent number: 4707730
Abstract: In a broadcasting system with time division multiplexing of digital signals containing a synchronization pattern and analog signals, sync extraction is achieved with a process including detecting the extreme values of the signals to be subjected to decoding, after they have been amplified with a gain G, with a time constant compatible with the low cut off frequencies to be accomodated; the gain G is controlled as a decreasing function of the difference between the extreme values with a time constant greater by several orders of size than the repetition period of the multiplex; before decoding and determination of the extreme values, there is added to the amplified signal a DC component which is a decreasing function of the sum of the extreme values, until the retrieval of the clock signal and identification of the synchronization pattern downstream of the coding.

  • Patent number: 4377822
Abstract: This test equipment permits a testing of the demodulator of a teletex television receiver. It consists of a digital test signal generator, the output of which is connected to the HF input of the television, and a receiver, the input of which is connected to the video output of said receiver. The generator tramsmits pseudo-random data packets having a first frequency of binary elements, with two double-intervaled binary elements at two predetermined instants t.sub.1 and t.sub.2 for each packet. The receiver has a data regeneration circuit whose threshold varies line by line from a maximum value to a minimum value. The sampling clock of the receiver is at a second frequency lower than the first by the ratio (n-2)/n, where n is equal to the integral ratio of the first frequency to the line frequency of the television. A suitable means insures resynchronization of the sampling clock at the middle of each line.

  • Patent number: 4343081
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for making semi-conductor components on an amorphous substrate, comprising two phases, wherein, in a first phase, the substrate is introduced into a deposition chamber and a uniform deposit is made of four successive primary layers on all this substrate, without contact with the outside atmosphere: a first layer of protective insulating material, a second layer of semiconductor material, a third layer of insulating material, of smaller thickness than the first layer, and finally a fourth layer of a metal; and, in a second phase, the substrate coated with these four layers is withdrawn from the deposition chamber and the last three layers are subjected to photoetching and ancillary deposition operations, which are appropriate for the structure of the component to be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4317132
Abstract: In a system for broadcasting data in combination with a television signal, he emitting station broadcasts, sets (blocks) of data which may be in-coming from several paths, the sets of data being time multiplexed. The present invention makes it possible to use the same television broadcast system, regardless of the television standards which may be used, with a minimum of modifications in the conventional television receivers. The frequence of the binary elements used to transmit data is made to vary as a function of the band width of the television signal which in turn, corresponds to the TV broadcast used in the area where the data is broadcast.
