  • Patent number: 4571565
Abstract: The switch comprises a stationary contact (2) and a moving contact (3) subjected to the action of a magnetic component (12). The moving contact (3) is carried by a rocker-arm (4) which pivots about a pin (10) rigidly fixed to a control device (6). The extremity (4a) of the rocker-arm carries a second pivot-pin (15) which is connected to a mechanical threshold device (18). The second pivot-pin is capable of displacement between a normal position in which the contacts (2, 3) can be closed and opened by the control device and a trip position in which the contacts are permanently separated. The magnetic component (12) occupies a position such as to exert on the rocker-arm (4) a torque which increases the contact pressure prior to tripping of the threshold device and produces a pivotal displacement of the rocker-arm about its pivot-pin (10) in the direction of opening of the contacts after tripping of the threshold device (18).

  • Patent number: 4545697
Abstract: The device for fixing an object by screwing to a section having two flanges directed substantially towards one another and defining therebetween a longitudinal opening comprises an elongated plate provided with one of the threaded portions and rotatable in a plane substantially parallel to that of the flanges of the section. In a free position, the longitudinal direction of the plate corresponds substantially to that of the section. In a retained position, the plate is retained under the flanges of the section and immobilized in one at least of the directions of rotation. Resilient means are provided for urging the plate towards the flanges of section in the retained position. The resilient means bear on a wedge intended to be inserted between the external face of the flanges of the section and the object to be fixed. This wedge has a passageway for a connecting rod between the plate and the other screw fixing element.

  • Patent number: 4536630
Abstract: A current limiting switch is provided comprising two mobile levers subjected to the action of springs which apply, one against the other, separable contact pieces placed at the respective ends thereof; a thin electrically insulating screen placed between the levers so that its edge is inserted between the contact pieces while maintaining complete insulation between the levers when these latter move away from each other, following short circuit currents flowing in the switch, wherein the ends of the levers, where the contact pieces are placed, are situated in the immediate vicinity of an insulating surface of the case, so that the path of the arc is essentially tangential with respect to the movement of the mobile contacts, the movement of said edge towards and against said insulating surface causing constriction of the arc and completely insulating from one another the two opposite and sealed chambers which the screen separates within the internal volume of the case.

  • Patent number: 4480194
Abstract: With this circuit, a current may be caused to flow through a contact (K) controlling the voltage supply of an electronic control circuit (24), of sufficient intensity for the reliability of the contact to be good, without the current flowing in the control circuit (24) being too high and this independently of the supply voltage (terminals E, 44) applied to the supply terminals of the user circuit (U). For this, the control circuit (24) is fed with power when the contact (K) is closed, through said contact (K), a first diode (31) and a resistor (32) connected in series, whereas a piloting circuit (11), which is an integrated time delay or memory circuit associated with said user circuit (U), is then supplied through said contact (K) and a second diode (26). When contact (K) is open, said piloting circuit (11) is fed through a third diode (29) and a Zener diode (30), the second diode (26) then preventing the control circuit (24) from being supplied with power.
